Beautiful location. Lots of activities to do for free or paid on/near the property.
Included breakfast or more of a coffee shop type breakfast would have been nice.

Sleeping Giant is beautifully landscaped and quiet. The staff in all areas went out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. As a lone woman traveller, I felt very safe and comfortable at the resort and on the trails.

My friend and I stayed here 1 night between driving locations in Belize. The gorgeous, meticulously maintained grounds with trickling brooks and fountains, elegant lighting, and multiple paths weaving among lush plants and flowers, provide a sense of privacy and immersion in tropical beauty. *Don't forget to apply mosquito repellant. The room was elegant and exactly like the photos with dark wood cabinets lining the hallway and a mini fridge within. There was a large, comfortable king bed with crisp, clean sheets and a white duvet. The bathroom was large, towels plentiful and absorbent, and the shower was large with a long ledge. The rainfall showerhead was a bit weak, but it worked. There was also a warm plunge pool / spa and a lounge sofa on the large outdoor balcony facing the river and jungle. The entrance had stepping stones over a pond (with chlorine in a cement basin) which continued on the other side of the wall of the entrance corridor, and I suppose could be used as another plunge pool - a small 3.5ft deep area for 1-2 people to stand in if they were so inclined. This area was accessed from the bathroom, an outdoor patio with another lounge area and an outdoor shower. I did not use this outdoor shower, but it was impressive just the same. The Wi-Fi was good, and the A/C in the main space worked well. We explored the little (hikes) on site. The hike up to the gazebo had a bit of incline, and I admit I was huffing and puffing at the end. But the view from the gazebo platforms was beautiful and the breeze felt refreshing. The restaurant was lovely, the food was beautifully presented and delicious.
CONS: It's a pricey stay, naturally. The bathroom does not have A/C, so it was quite warm and humid. It's beautifully remote - up a mountain, but that means there aren't any off-site restaurants or stores nearby. Reception is extremely friendly, but not very efficient. It would be more expedient if another person worked at reception to check guests in. The parking lot is a bit far from reception and the rooms, so guests are encouraged to stop at reception to unload bags before driving down to the guest parking lot. There aren't any actual parking spaces at reception; however, so the vehicle of the first guest blocks the lane and guests arriving afterward can't park. Having a staff member there to encourage guests to pull forward would help as well as another staff member available to help unload/deliver bags. Both the balcony plunge pool and the backyard piece of a pool...? were filled with warm water. I soaked in the plunge pool that night which felt good after hiking, but it was really too hot and humid outside to enjoy a plunge during the day. *There was a nice pool onsite that may have been more refreshing, but I did not have time to swim in it. None of the accommodations at this resort offer more than 1 bed. The small futon bed was hard and uncomfortable. The short on-site hikes were not a well maintained as they could have been.

The staff was very professional, friendly and kind. I enjoyed the ambience. I enjoyed the sound of nature the birds, the wind, the ducklings all of it it felt serene. Dinner was also very lovely and we enjoyed the breakfast special at the bellies and breakfast that they had everything about this place was beautiful. Everything felt beautiful. I will definitely be returning.
There was nothing in particular that I did not like this place is beautiful and it is worth exploring.
