The view and the private pool. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect - secluded but with facilities and great restaurants a short drive away. Lovely outside areas for eating in the shade and lying by the pool. Outside shower. Good kitchen equipment. Great info about the region and restaurant recs. Good water pressure and water was hot.
Personally I really would prefer a bidet in the bathroom. Would be nice if a few bin liners were provided since guests are asked not to put anything into the toilets. Also would be nice if at least the towels were changed after 3 days.

Lovely hilltop location with superb views south to the coast. Small cluster of buildings set in landscaped grounds. Upper level apartment with attractive interior using traditional materials and features, including raised ceilings. Relaxing and comfortable pool area. Having lived in the Algarve for many years I can say the local information provided by the hosts is well researched - accurate and comprehensive.
Whilst the interior of the apartment has rustic charm, the use of curtains between rooms is a nuisance (particularly between living area and bathroom/toilet). Cramped kitchenette space (but we tend to eat out anyway!). Access to the property is partly by unsurfaced road, with some steepish inclines (not unusual in the Algarve!). Sorry we didn’t get to meet the hosts.
