The proximity to the Shrine was good, it was a safe area, the room was spacious and comfortable.
What gives it a poor score was that the couch in the room was disgustingly stained. I told staff and they said it was an 'old room' that was being 'renovated'. Now, that may be true, but the bare minimum they could have done was put a throwover cover on the couch. I did not touch of sit on it. Ewww.
Also it was obvious the bath tub and soap holder in the bath tub had not been cleaned for a long time. Given one had to stand in the bath tub to take a shower, this was disappointing. Again, when I told staff this fact, he merely said it was old. I explained that I could rub the grubbiness off with my finger/finger nail, that it was a cleaning issue, not an age issue, he said nothing. Nothing was done to address this issue during my two night stay.
The size of the room was great, though the lift when to the 5th floor and this room was on the 6th, so lugging a suitcase up this curved suitcase when you are short person was a little interesting.
