Staff couldn't help enough. Needed to leave before breakfast so they had pre prepared it for us and left in a fridge. Incredibly helpful thank you
For full transparency the mattress wasn't the best. It was lumpy and noisy but it didn't hinder our sleep. I'd still give full stars for our stay.

Very clean and welcoming
The green emergency light actually in the small bedroom felt like we slept with the light on all night. I get it being an emergency light but in the bedroom

All the staff were helpful and friendly. I arrived early and was able to leave my bags whilst I explored the local area. My room was at the front, number 3. It was quiet. You can log in to your Netflix and Prime on the TV. The room was comfortable and clean.
I came by bus from Machynlleth. The bus stop is a 5 minute walk away. After my stay I got the bus to Blaenau Ffestiniog by the Oakeley Arms.
I enjoyed the Sunday carvery and also the outdoor seating area for a drink.
This isnt anything the hotel can fix but I do find that, even in such stunning locations, the freedom to walk about is severely curtailed due to cars and busy roads.
I was on foot. There was a lovely walk if you turn right when exiting the hotel then cross over and go up the hill. However if you try walking up on the same side as the hotel the road has no paths and is too busy with cars to walk up with any enjoyment.
You can enjoy a lovely wooded walk with lakes just pass the Oakeley Arms, a 10 minute walk away. However this requires walking on the side of the A487 and having to cross it.
Like I say, not the hotels fault but something for walkers to bear in mind.

Fabulous location, close to major attractions & landmarks. Food for both breakfast & dinner was good. The staff were friendly & helpful.
Cottage 1 needs a mirror in the bedroom & the hair dryer needs to be fixed to the wall. The rusty towel radiator needs to be replaced in the bathroom.
