About this cottage rental
A luxury 1 bedroom cottage, regularly upgraded, in the grounds of Rough Close House, separated from the main house by a court yard. All the rooms are seperate, there is a lot of space for two. Accommodation is for 2 adults only. There is ample, easy off road parking.
Visitors may also spot the ospreys which nest on Esthwaite Water. Their nest can be seen from the Coppice lounge normally. The ospreys usually arrive late March or early April and leave at the end of August. They have had chicks each year recently and there are now four nesting pairs in the area.
The property is ideally placed for wide range of activities including walking, mountain biking, fishing, or sight-seeing. Whichever you choose we hope you will enjoy your stay at the Coppice.

We had a great stay in this beautiful cottage ! The cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need and the attention to detail was second to none . Gill and Geoff are wonderful hosts , offering good advice on the area . The bed is super comfy , large walk in shower with plenty of hot water and fresh towels. The view across the fields to the Osprey nest from the comfort of your own armchair is amazing! Bring binoculars! All in all we had the perfect stay and can’t wait to return in the future . Would highly recommend. Thank you Gill

The location was beautiful as was the property. It was lovely and clean and very homely and cosy. had a lovely mini break and the host were super friendly and on hand if we needed anything. The cottage was well equipped for our stay

The cottage was cosy, comfortable, and spotless, the perfect base for exploring the Lake District. The hosts were absolutely lovely and made everything easy from start to finish. Great location, great accommodation. Highly recommended
