About this condo rental
This luxurious 3 bedroom, 3 bath, relaxing bay side condo has fantastic unobstructed views of the bay, and is only a short, quick drive by car or golf cart to the beach and the Pointe West Beach Club. Features a modern, fully equipped kitchen, free WIFI, PS3 game console with games, HD cable TV and a large flat screen TV in the living room. There is a queen size bed in the Master Bedroom, queen size bed in guest room, bunk beds (with a trundle) and two queen size sleeper couches to accommodate your family. The unit has all your linens for your stay, as well as a full-size washer and dryer to clean your clothes after a day at the beach or pools. Located on Red Fish Cove, enjoy wade fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and crabbing right from your vacation backyard. Bring your camera, sit back and enjoy the bird sanctuary from the large private balcony featuring picture perfect sunsets every evening. The balcony is accessible from both the master bedroom or the living room and has plenty of seating for everyone. Leave your worries at home when you come to your Sunset Retreat! When you stay in a Bay to Beach Rental Property, all you need to bring is your clothes, beach towels/chairs, sunscreen, food and you! We provide paper towels, toilet paper, large & small trash bags, dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, fabric softener sheets, hand soap, coffee, coffee filters, shampoo, body wash, and basic spices in each unit. Pointe West is an exclusive resort community on the western tip of Galveston Island. The beaches are clean, groomed regularly and closed to vehicular traffic. The main clubhouse has a beautiful infinity edge pool, hot tub, kid’s pool, cabanas, grills, gift shop, workout facility with lockers and a game room. The Sunset Pool on the bayside has a small lazy river, hot tub, fire pit, gas and charcoal grills for the guests use during their stay. Enjoy the pool bar and restaurant, Smore's by the Sunset Pool, kid's crafts, Dive-in Movies and live entertainment. (We will send you the activity schedule upon booking your vacation or you can check the Pointe West Beach Club website for times/dates). Golf carts, kayaks and paddleboards are available for rent from local island vendors. Please ask us we have information on these items and other things you may want to rent when visiting Pointe West. You are only approximately 30 minutes from downtown Galveston (The Strande), Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, Pleasure Pier and all the other great attractions of Galveston. Major grocery stores are located 20 minutes away so we recommend guests stop on their way in so they never have to leave their vacation getaway! WRISTBAND POLICY The Property Owners Association (POA) at Pointe West collects a wristband fee of $25 per guest for each guest over the age of 4 (children younger than 4 do not pay) for use of the Beach Club and Sunset Pools during your stay at Pointe West. This is a onetime fee during your stay, not a daily fee. No wristbands are required to enjoy the beautiful beaches at Pointe West this fee is only for use of pools, fitness center, and other amenities. A reservation has been made in your name for your rental period at Pointe West. The wristbands are available at the Beach Club reception every day during business hours (9-5 off season, 9-6 peak season). The physical address for the Beach Club is 4161 Pointe West Drive, Galveston, TX. 77554. You do not have to purchase a wristband to enjoy the restaurant/bar at Pointe West. Your reservation will allow you to receive a temporary band to enjoy this business amenity. PLEASE NOTE: RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY'S DURING THE SPRING/SUMMER TO RESTOCK AND CLEAN AFTER LABOR DAY UNTIL OCTOBER 30, RESTAURANT IS CLOSED ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY THE RESTAURANT AND GIFT SHOP ARE CLOSED FROM NOVEMBER 1-MARCH 1 EVERY YEAR FITNESS CENTER, GAME ROOM AND POOLS ARE OPEN YEAR ROUND THE SUNSET POOL ON THE BAYSIDE OF POINTE WEST IS HEATED FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT YEAR-ROUND. THE BEACH CLUB POOL IS NOT HEATED AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP AN INFINITY POOL WARM. BOTH POOLS HAVE LARGE HOT TUBS FOR YOUR ENJOYMENT.

This property was clean and stocked and the owners were very responsive. Plenty of space for our family to spread out and our morning coffee on the balcony was just what we needed. Lots of choices for beach access and the pool was nice and clean.

Beautiful condo and the best sunset views around! Everything was very cleaned and well decorated. Only comment would be ice maker was about out so to have that restocked prior to arrival would be great.

The property is very well stocked and great for a family. The location is exactly what we were looking for, not busy but having access to the beach and pools. MaryAlice and Linda communicate quickly and promptly to ALL messages. I would highly recommend this condo.

This is our third time staying at Pointe West and second time at this condo. It’s great for families and offers a lot of space and convenience next to the beach. There were a couple of issues that we discovered once there (the water line to the ice maker was frozen and the dryer didn’t want to turn on) but the property managers were quick to respond to them. Overall, this was an awesome place for our annual beach get together with our growing family. They even left a pac n play so we didn’t have to bring two.

We had a great stay for Father’s Day Weekend at Sunset Retreat! The unit was everything we wanted and fit our family perfectly. We really enjoyed hanging out on the expansive balcony which overlooks Galveston Bay, the views here are amazing. We ventured out into Galveston Bay a few times with the kids and enjoyed getting our feet wet. Bring your pole if you enjoy fishing as the water is calm and you can wade out a few hundred yards if you want. The pool at the beach club is huge and nice as always. Linda and Mary Alice are great hosts and were very accommodating. We look forward to returning soon.

This was our second time staying in Pointe West but first time at this condo. Everything was fantastic! Loved all the towels and kitchen assesories. All that we needed was there. The property was clean, well maintained, and had all the space we needed to enjoy our family vacation. Would stay there again.

This place was very nice had everything you could ever need. It is a little way away from the main beach area but that was fine with me. Bring some off the mosquitos are horrible.

Loved the stay and the location. Quick responses from owners and instructions for pool were easy. Place was spacious and comfy, nice utility to use throughout. They had everything you could think of. Def recommned staying here.

Fantastic family getaway
We enjoyed every minute of our family beach vacation! The condo was well cared for, comfortable, and very welcoming. Small touches such as the welcome basket full of essentials were very thoughtful and much appreciated. Both the sunset pool on the bay side and the infinity pool on gulf at the Beach Club were very enjoyable, beautifully landscaped, and well maintained. Our favorite part was coming back from a long day on the beach to enjoy dinner on the back porch; the show stopping sunsets from the balcony are not to be missed! We look forward to returning soon!

This is the perfect getaway condo!
Everything was extremely clean when we arrived! The condo has plenty of space. There are two big bedrooms for adults and a fun kids room too. The property manager was so sweet and willing to help with any of our needs. We have stayed here twice and plan to stay again next year.

Perfect getaway!
This was our third time at Pointe West, but our first stay in one of the condos. It was spacious for our family of 6. The location overlooking the bay was amazing. the beach and pools are a short drive away. we were kind of unsure about that but it was totally fine. the club is very nice with a great infinity pool and beach access. the restaurant food there is decent. it shouldn’t be disappointing but it also isn’t fine dining. we got chicken strips and fries and they were good. go simple. drinks were pretty good also.
the condo owners are very delightful people. very timely with responding. very very accommodating.
we would hands down come back to this very spot many more times!

Great stay by the bay and ocean!
We had a wonderful time with our family! There is a beautiful view of the bay and it’s just a short walk or drive to the beach. We appreciated the black out curtains for the kids. The beds are comfy and the condo is nicely decorated. We will definitely stay here again!

This condo is in a great location on a great property. This building has views of water almost from every window. It is right on the bay where you have fishing right outside the building The bay is all flats and perfect for kayaking or wade fishing anytime the wind is calm. You also have an unubsrtucted view of the sunset right from the unit. This was our first stay at this unit. I will be trying to book this same unit next time we are there.

Girls Trip
We enjoyed our stay immensely! The communication with the property manager was wonderful and timely. The condo was gorgeous, well-kept, well stocked with appliances and management even left us a basket filled with some necessities. They had clear instructions regarding check in/out and they were flexible with early check-in and a late checkout. The amenities were easily accessible and staff was friendly. We look forward to booking again!

Best condo set up I've stayed at!
This beautiful condo was everything it was advertised to be. Very clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. I have stayed at many condos over the years and will say that the owner had thought of everything and added all the extra touches to make our stay comfortable, The kitchen was very well stocked, and even included a welcome basket with coffee, extra trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, paper plates, etc. Many of the little things that are sometimes easy to forget. The condo is very functional for a family and although my boys are grown now, the little TV nook with a gaming area would have been ideal for when they were kids. All of the furniture was very comfortable and the balcony set up was great for unwinding and watching the beautiful sunsets over the bay. I would highly recommend staying here!

Awesome experience from booking through checkout. Mary Alice was great to work with. Answered questions literally within minutes. Property is in a secluded part of the island which we loved. We took four mile walks on the beach every morning and then headed into town to explore for the day. Condo was well stocked compared to other VRBOs. Towels, linens, soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, a welcome basket, and well stocked kitchen on top of being very clean inside and out. Having three bedrooms and three bathrooms were a plus. Also having a balcony on each side of the condo gave us great views of both the gulf and the bay.
I highly recommend this property for your stay in Galveston.
