Nach einer sehr kurzfristigen Buchung, waren wir ausgesprochen positiv überrascht. Das Haus ist auch für eine größere Familie hervorragend geeignet.

The apartment was spacious, clean, very comfortable with a large kitchen, large bathroom with all amenities would expect at a well- equipped home. It is an excellent place for those who want to visit the very nice and full of history, the town of Altenburg. At the same time one lives in very quiet rural setting. It was a little difficult to obtain the keys to the apartment. But in our case, it provided us with an opportunity to learn something about the country living in Thuringia. The owner is living in Dresden an could not be reached by telephone. So I went into the inn across the street. The inn was closed but a choral society had its meeting in one of the meeting halls. I explained our predicament and the ladies were extremely helpful. They knew who is taking care locally of the apartment and so after a few calls this person arrived and handed us the keys. The house has a nice courtyard where one can safely park the car. I would call this place "best kept secret" or in German "Geheimtipp".

Everything we have found exceeded our expectations.
