First time in Slovenia and we have been pleasantly surprised by Guest House EJGA. Personnel extremely polite, clean & quiet rooms, good breakfast. Unfortunately we were not able to have dinner due to our planning but the menu seemed to be tasteful.
A couple of parking spots are provided by EJGA but there’s also a big free parking just in front of it.

The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. We were looking for a place that had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent. Their life story and willingness to engage guests in conversation is part of what makes it a great place for a stay in the area.

Location, very close to Jenesice railway station, convenient for catching early morning trains
The check-in is the worst in my many years of travel. I had to check-in at their saloon bar. I don’t mind that. But the bar man who was also the reception check-in ignored me and kept me waiting for over 10 minutes while he cleaned beer glasses and served beer to customers. His attitude was totally unacceptable for a front-line customer role. Only when I walked back out of the front door did he chase me and said he could now do the check-in. His hostile attitude coloured the rest of my short stay at EJGA and I shall not stay there again.
Furthermore the €110/night is not value for money. The room was far smaller than expected, there was no in-room tea or coffee, no air conditioning or fan, and the downstairs bar noise (music) filtered in to the shower room. I have just left a Booking.com host in Murzzelschlag Austria who provided a fantastic small apartment + kitchen for €75/night. And the host was friendly and helpful.
