Das Chaplin in Kempten ist eine nette Unterkunft in unmittelbarer Nähe des Stadtzentrums. Es ist perfekt nur 300 Meter zu Fuß von der Basilika in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße gelegen. Die Einrichtung ist praktisch und komplett neu. Nettes Gimmick: die Türen lassen sich bequem über das Handy öffnen, so dass man weder einen Schlüssel mitführen noch sich einen Code merken muss :-)

The property is a convenient place to explore the city centre, only a couple of minutes from the Residenzplatz and bus stops. (The bus is very useful if arriving in Kempten by train.) The room was generally clean and furnished to an acceptable standard. The place was quiet, with little noise from outside. During my three days there, the owner improved the appearance of the bathrooms.
I had to chase the owner for arrival instructions which were not sent as promised. The seats on both toilets were broken - one badly cracked; however, this problem was remedied on my last day there.
A kettle is provided, but there was no coffee, just a few tea bags. Not a huge problem as there are many cafes nearby.
The room is advertised as having a garden view - see photo.

Room was cleaning and new renovation. Free parking place is available on property. Easy to find property.
Private external bathroom doesn't exist on property (how was description on the site booking. com) only two bathrooms for share with everyone on the floor. Room cannot possible to lock. I was staying in room 7. View from room look to another building and parking place.
