Aminess Vival Lišanj Family Hotel

This hotel is a paradise for kids. There are plenty of opportunities to keep them occupied, there are 2 great indoor playhouses, the animators are very kind and professional and there are little playgrounds in front of the elevators as well.

The restaurant can be crowded during the lunch, it might be hard to get a table for bigger families if arriving in the wrong time.

The hotel is beautiful, modern, clean and very well equipped for families with children. We especially loved the playrooms, playground, swimming pools and the children’s entertainment and activities. There is a lot for children to do, including younger kids. The food was excellent, with a huge variety of fresh food. There was plenty of meat, vegetables, fruit, desserts, ice cream and even a chocolate fountain. There was also a great selection for small children. The pools were clean and enjoyable, the drinks were great, and the staff were very friendly. The beach is also very close to the hotel, which is a big plus. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and the hotel has a lot to offer, especially for families with children.

The main thing that disappointed me was the sunbed system and the way it was enforced. The sign states that reserving sunbeds before 8:00 AM is not allowed and that towels and personal belongings left unused for more than one hour will be removed and stored. I completely understand the reason for this rule, as I also agree that guests should not reserve sunbeds for the entire day and leave them unused. However, we occupied a sunbed at 8:21 AM, and I was still told that I could not leave my towel there and briefly go back to the room to get some things. I was told that if I left, the sunbed could be taken away after one hour, even if my family was still there. I was not trying to reserve a sunbed for the whole day. I simply wanted to go back to the room for a short time and then return. Having to worry about the time and whether my towel or belongings might be removed did not feel very relaxing during a holiday. We discussed the situation with the hotel and everything was explained to us politely. I understand the hotel’s intention, but I personally did not like the way this system was implemented. I travel quite a lot and have never experienced this kind of approach in other hotels I have stayed at, including in Croatia or other hotels of the same hotel brand. The other thing I would improve is the selection of desserts for guests with nut allergies. Many of the cakes contained visible nuts. I understand that nuts are used in the kitchen and that allergen warnings therefore need to be taken seriously, but it would be great to have a larger selection of desserts that do not contain nuts. Apart from these two things, we were very happy with the hotel and really enjoyed our holiday.

Cozy place with friendly staff and good food.

Too crowded. The indoor pool is too small for that number of people. There is no staff member or lifeguard present. Kids are running, screaming, and constantly slipping on the wet floor.

Good for the kids, good heated indoor pool, good buffet with lots of options, lovely view from our balcony.

The aircon system kept cutting out so we would get hot in the night and I had to keep resetting. There was also an awful flashing light on the ceiling that’s disturbed our sleep so that’s was not fun at all. The superior family room was nice but could do with a few little updates and marks from walls etc being painted/fixed.
