Isolated Log Cabin with Panoramic Views of Cherry Pond and White Mountains
About this cabin rental
Situated in Carroll, this attractive cabin for $182 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Fantastic place to escape into the woods, with panoramic views, closest house is a 1/2 mile away. Almost new Log Cabin, just finished in 2017 on 34 acres with 1200 ft driveway provides privacy and fantastic views of Cherry Pond and from Mt Waumbek to Vermont. The Property abuts the White Mountain National Forest and you can hike out the top of the property to Owls Head and Mt Martha which is about 3.0 miles one way and 1600 ft of elevation change. Owls Head offers fantastic views of the entire presidential range. The 1st floor bedroom has a queen bed, and the living area has a full size sleeper sofa. All mattresses are new memory foam mattresses. There is a storage loft that is accessed by a ladder, not stairs, so it is not appropriate for children under 5 or people unable to climb a ladder. The Cabin is off the electric grid with solar panels and batteries. One full bathroom with shower and an outdoor shower. My cleaner is phenomenal and the cabin is sanitized every time after each guest. Fantastic covered screened in porch to enjoy the views and there is a Pavilion covering the fire pit area with picnic table that also has fantastic views. Cell phone reception is very good with Verizon and there is 4G and LTE service. The cabin does not have WIFI or a TV, dishwasher, or laundry. It is meant as a getaway and to get unplugged. During the day, the view is incredible and at night the stars are amazing with almost no light pollution. Restaurants and towns are at least 15 minutes away on some of the most scenic roads in New England. Lancaster is 15 minutes, Bretton Woods is 15 min, Bethlehem is 20 min, Gorham is 21 min, and Littleton is 27 minutes. The journey is half the fun with many view points and activities outside of towns. In the winter season, it is recommended to have AWD or 4WD vehicles as the driveway is about 1200 ft long uphill with a 10% slope. Since I like to use the cabin a lot myself throughout the year, no monthly or seasonal rental is possible.

We had an amazing stay it was everything that we were hoping for and then some!!! If you’re looking to relax and keep it simple this is the place for you. The cabin is cozy, clean, and it comes with a million dollar view. There is plenty to see and do if you want to get back to Mother Nature. If not you can head into Conway or Littleton in a about 1/2 hour. Where you can enjoy shopping, musics, or a brewery.

Peaceful Off grid cozy cabin with wonderful views. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the quiet ‘no tv’ atmosphere and plentiful nearby hiking trails. The cabin was very clean with sufficient amenities (we prepared and ate most of our meals in the cabin) and ample space for two people. We have visited the white mountains area for many years and enjoyed staying on the quieter side of the white mountains. I would highly recommend for those interested in a simple restful getaway surrounded by nature.

My husband and I stayed at the cabin back in 2019 and absolutely loved it. It’s private and has amazing views of Cherry Pond as well as the mountain range. The front porch is a great place to relax at night or have a cup of coffee in the morning. We would highly recommend staying here as a place to unplug and unwind!

A nice house, a warm welcome to have no wifi and no tv for a couple of days. It really made you switch off and come to a good rest. The location is near Mt. Washington, The Flume Gorge and the Basin. Lots a hikes to make in the surroundings. The house itself was really clean and cosy and well maintained. Superb fallout base for a lot of activities and and a great place to get a good rest.

Our family stayed in this sweet cabin for a few days of hiking. Sadly, the weather didn't agree with our plans, but our time in the cabin was just what we hoped it would be. It comfortably fit our family of 5 and we truly enjoyed the unplugged time.

Perfect for exploring White Mountains.
Clean, bed was very comfortable, blankets and towels too.
Was nicer than the pictures.
Only downside are the ticks. Wish it was more cut back along paths.
Enjoyed the fire pit area. Relaxing and shielded us from the rain.
The path to it could use some more wooden boards to cross some runoff water.
Very peaceful too.

This cabin is very accurate to the description posted on VRBO. Ben was very quick with his communication both before and during our stay. Even though it is off the grid, there is plenty of electricity and hot water to feel well cared for - you are not roughing it in anyway. Lots to do in the outdoors in the immediate area. Screened in front porch was glorious with a great view.
My only negative is that there is unfortunately some road noise due to the houses location near a busy road. The cabin is well off the road and you dont see anything but nature but you do hear the roadsounds during parts of the day.
Great cabin in a great area at a very fair price - we would stay again.

The cabin was just as described. We loved how it was off the grid a bit. The porch has an awesome view even with the clouds (it was raining/cloudy while we were there) the last night we were there we had a nice sunset! If we visit the area again we would definitely look to see if the cabin is available.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a place out in the peace and quiet of nature without having to sacrifice any modern amenities. The place was clean, well kept, and surrounded by excellent views. The host was easily reachable and was helpful with suggestions on hiking and things to do in the area. It is a small cabin, but for two people it had plenty of room. Instructions for check-in and check-out were simple and straightforward.
Highly recommend visiting Littleton, Super Secret Ice Cream, Muddy Paws Dogsledding Kennel, and hiking Owl's Head.

The cabin is comfortably furnished, clean, and was a wonderful home for Thanksgiving. This is a relaxing setting with views of Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge. We hiked there and at nearby state parks or forest areas. It is a great location for exploring the area. The kitchen is well supplied with pots, pans, and utensils for cooking. The living area is cozy with a comfortable couch and fabulous rocking chair. Great place to stay and would stay here again.

Perfect base if you’re staying in the White Mountains. The cabin was cozy and quiet. Cell phone coverage was good most of the time. The views were beautiful and we were 30 to 50 minutes away from areas where we hiked.
I would like to thank Ben for allowing us to use his cabin. It was everything advertised and he gave out helpful information on great places to eat and attractions to see. If you’re looking to get away and go off the grid then this is place

The cabin was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed listening to the birds and watching the clouds over the mountains from the front porch. This was a great location for hiking in the White Mountains, with easy access to Franconia, Crawford and Pinkham notch areas. We enjoyed browsing the book about how the cabin was built, and are grateful that we got to enjoy the product of all that careful planning and labor. Thanks for sharing this great place with us.

Our family of 4 stayed in this property in July 2022. The views from the screened in front porch were breathtaking. There are rocking chairs and even a hammock on the porch. The hammock was a great place to nap after a long hike up Mt Washington. There is a great outdoor firepit and grill area that we didn't get to enjoy as much as we would have liked. The cabin was very clean and just as described in the listing. Our daughters (10 and 7) loved sleeping in the upstairs loft. We enjoyed some of the local restaurants and enjoyed the quick, easy access to some of the more notable tourist activities in the area. The host was incredibly responsive to my inquiries. We would love to stay in this cabin again in the future!
