Nestled in Sunapee, this lovely house for $410 per night is a great option for your next break. Beautifully renovated log cabin with brand-new chef kitchen featuring two dishwashers and two ovens. Located on Mountain View Lake. Master bedroom with king bed, big bedroom with two twin beds and office & reading room upstairs, third bedroom with standard bunk bed and fourth bedroom with queen bed on first floor. Large living room with fireplace. Upstairs bathroom has two sinks and steam shower, first floor bathroom two sinks and shower/bathtub. Washer and dryer in house. Outside, enjoy professional Weber Gas Grill and Hot Tub. Sleeps eight. Available for ski season rental from Dec - March. Great for electronic detox: House has no TV! Swimming off the dock.

Second time staying at the Moose Lodge we call it. Lovely event that’s becoming an annual treasure at your beautiful cabin. We love the stuff moose as we’re not big on hunting we brag about the dual dishwasher, gourmet kitchen, of where we share many a family meal. Please don’t change a thing!

We spent a wonderful week at “Castle Rock” lake house the first week of September 2023. This log-cabin home is simple, yet luxurious. It’s rustic lake-house charm is well balanced by supreme cleanliness and top-of-the-line amenities and appliances. Our time there was peaceful and private, complemented by greetings and much-appreciated lakeside tips from the friendly neighbors. It was the perfect spot to wind down after a busy summer, and our children couldn’t get enough of Mountain View Lake. They swam, kayaked and fished all day, every day, right from the dock in the backyard. My husband and I enjoyed sunbathing and reading on the dock and back porch. We were just thrilled to give our family the perfect vacation in Sunapee, NH. The owner was incredibly helpful and responsive when we had questions. We highly recommend this property and would absolutely book it again ourselves.

We just wrapped a lovely week with the family at Mountain View lake. Our kids (ages 4 and 7) had an absolute blast and this house had it all from a grill, kayaks/canoes (with kid sized life jackets!) to a magical lake side hot tub. We were truly grateful for the memories forged at this lovely house and thank Pascale for the warm experience.

Our family had a wonderful relaxing time on Mt.View Lake. The house clean and offered us plenty of space for use to spread out. The lake was calm and quiet which was wonderful for fishing and kayaking. I would highly recommend this property!

My parents and family stayed for a week over the 4th of July. We had plenty to keep us active and busy with a 10 year old girl and 13 year old boy. My wife and I and parents were able to keep up, but also enjoy the property for some relaxation. The kayak's, canoe, and lake are perfect for swimming and the hot tub is perfect to relax any tense muscles. Pefect home & property for our family! Pascale is very attentive and checked in with us if we needed anything or had any questions or concerns. Would recommend to anyone looking for a busy/relaxing vacation!

This was our 2nd visit for a family vacation. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the home is very comfortable. We had our 3 adult children and everyone was able to have their own space. We had plenty of rain but it made for some interesting hikes; good thing for the washer and dryer for all the wet clothes.
Pascale is easy to communicate with and an attentive host.

It has everything you will need to have a great vacation in a home away from home From the spacious layout, beautiful decor, fully stocked cooks kitchen to the hot tub and kayaks!! Its a real treat to wake up and look out at the tranquil lake too. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

Paddling the kayaks, canoe , swimming and on floaties was the best. The beautiful view of Mt. Sunapee was the icing on the cake. The house, the grill, the kitchen… everything was perfect. What a fantastic week we had! The home was clean and well appointed. We had beautiful weather. Pascale was an amazing host. We noticed the kayaks were a bit worn at the ends. I texted this concern to Pascale and by the next afternoon we had 2 brand new kayaks to use! We enjoyed spending time on the dock watching the wild life. Plenty to do in the surrounding area and easy access to lake Sunapee. The hot tub was a huge hit with our teens. We had an amazing week! Thank you again, Pascale, for sharing your lovely home.

Amazing home with a beautiful lake
Let me just start off by saying it was just an amazing experience that me and my family will never forget. The view from the back overlooking the lake and seeing Mt Sunapee is just breathtaking. The cabin was set up perfect from the kitchen being set up perfect to the steam shower in the upstairs bathroom to being able to relax in the hot tub. Pascale was wonderful to work with and very responsive to the messages. We can wait for our next trip up to Sunapee

Here's my attempt. Upon entering the front door of Castle Rock we were amazed at how beautiful and clean the kitchen and dining room were. Every possible appliance, dish, utensil, and glass we would need was available. The woodwork in the cabin is stunning. The living room had a great fire place and there were books, magazines, and fun activities even for kids. The cabin had 2 amazing bathrooms one with a steam shower. When exiting the back door to the lake and view of Mt Sunapee I had to catch my breath. The owners supplied everything you could possibly need for a day on the lake. Great grill, out door seating, and fire pit were a fun way to unwind at the end of the day. We highly recommend a stay here.

Best home our family has stayed in.
Our week was picture perfect, the only unpredictable was the weather. The home itself is beautiful and on a clean, clear and peaceful lake, complete with loons, ducks and a heron. The view from the porch with my morning coffee was perfect. The home is very clean and well equipped. Top end appliances throughout. Pascale is a host extraordinare! Will likely book again someday.

Fantastic Vacation
My husband and I have rented many vacation homes for family summer vacations, this one has been one of our favorites, The house was beautiful , very clean and well stocked. We had a wonderful time exploring the lake and soaking in the hot tub. Excellent location , we loved it and definitely recommend this as a great place for a relaxing family vacation. We had a lovely vacation with our 3 grown children. House was spacious so everyone had their own space. Property was very clean. Lots of great hiking nearby. Lake was nice and quiet.

I had seen the property on VRBO about a year earlier and its location and amenities stayed in my memory. So when we were looking for lakefront this year we booked it. It's a perfect mix of modern and rustic. A log home provides the rustic but everything else was top notch. A fantastic kitchen with appliances far better than anything we have at home. Plenty of hot water. The dock was safe and we used the kayaks. The view from the back of the home is beautiful as portrayed. If I could do it all over again, and we plan to, the only thing I would do differently would be to bring our own pillows. We are just more used to them. Other than that, there were plenty of linens and towels. We got a lot of use out of the hot tub, which we enjoyed immensely. Communication with the owner was exemplary and we had no issues with the property itself during our stay. The home is ten minutes from Sunapee and Newport for shopping and entertainment. We had a lovely lunch at The Old Courthouse in Newport.

Wonderful stay
Stayed here for a week and loved it. House is even bigger and better than in the pictures. The lake is beautiful and so clear and very swimmable. So much nature around lots of baby birds nests in the yard. Loved kayaking and using the hot tub. The neighbors are also very friendly.

We thoroughly enjoyed a restful week at this beautiful home. The house included all of the comforts of home. The house was spacious and clean and we loved using the hot tub, steam shower, and kayaks to explore the lake. The owner was readily available by email or text to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this home and hope to return again myself!

The home was lovely. The location sublime. Communication with the owner was excellent. Just an FYI - there is no TV which I missed in the description. It's not really a problem because we could stream on our computers. Just something to note.

A Little Luxury at the Lake
Castle rock was a perfect spot for our family reunion (two families), and provided every amenity one could wish for. The owner couldn’t have been more responsive or accommodating, and we were free to enjoy our week without any of the roadblocks one runs into with renting! Thanks, Pascale, for a lovely week!!!
