The apartment is very bright and we loved the furniture. Excellent taste! The bed is very comfortable, bath towels are white and fluffy and large.
Lightning is also excellent - important for book readers!
The kitchen is very practical with everything one needs and there is even a small dishwasher which worked perfectly.
There is only one flight of very large stairs, therefore not an issue at all!
The location is incredibly cool, quiet and safe. The apartment is located in a pedestrian street and there are many bars, cafés, restaurants and shops nearby. Two tram stops are also in short walking distance.
All in all: highly recommendable!
There is nothing we did not like. We knew about the tiny bathroom and the shower overflow, but it is possible to manage!

De locatie was top, midden in het design district. En van de omliggende terrassen hadden we geen geluidsoverlast.
De douche in combinatie met het toilet was niet aangenaam en heel erg klein.

The apartment is lovely—located in an old building with high ceilings, and it is bright and airy. The work desk (I was working remotely during the week) is wonderful: spacious and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was good, though it did cut out occasionally. The kitchen is fine and very well-equipped. There are power outlets on both sides of the bed; in fact, there are outlets everywhere, which is very convenient.
This was my third Roost booking and for the first time, the key pickup and check-in process went smoothly and without issues—unlike the last time, when I had to sleep in a hotel because the Wi-Fi didn't work.
The area is fantastic—one of my favorites in Helsinki—and despite being on a pedestrian street full of restaurants and entertainment spots, it is completely quiet because the apartment faces the central courtyard.
Having stayed at other Roost properties in Helsinki, this is without a doubt the worst one I’ve visited.
There is plenty of storage space—lots of floor-to-ceiling closets—but the layout is poor and disorganized; I had to move the vacuum cleaner and ironing board just to make room for my own things. There were duvets, sheets, towels, loose pillows, and cribs scattered across the closets. A bit of better organization would have made much better use of the space.
The sofa and armchairs were pretty gross; they really need a deep clean or reupholstering. I hardly ever sat on them.
The kitchen extractor fan was the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.
Basic items were missing, such as small knives, scissors, bowls, and paper towels. I had to buy small plastic containers to store leftovers in the fridge—which I obviously left behind for future guests, along with a water pitcher. The cleanliness, in general, leaves a lot to be desired; there was dust everywhere—on lamp cords, in corners, and so on.
The bathroom deserves a special mention; I now understand why they only post one photo—it doesn't show just how tiny the space is. A big person would have serious trouble showering or even moving around in there. Naturally, you have to move all your toiletries and towels out of the way while showering so they don't get wet. Bathrooms in Finland are small, but this one was dollhouse-sized. It was also quite dirty in the hidden corners. The drain cover came off by accident, and it was like Mordor down there—I’ve never seen anything so filthy in my life; it made me gag.
The bed is quite uncomfortable; it seems to sag in the middle.
Everything was very disorganized in general; it looked as though the kitchenware and leftover food packages had just been shoved into the cupboards haphazardly, without any attempt to make efficient use of the space. For a long stay like mine, I reorganized all to my linking. The lack of an elevator is a hassle, but I knew about before booking.
