You have lots of space to enjoy! Placid Chalet has three floors of comfort and roominess for your Lake Placid get away. The kitchen is open to the dining and living room. The home has beams throughout the home and the balconies make it a one of a kind home. When coming to Lake Placid you want the feel of a true ADK get away and Placid Chalet has this inside and out. The two balconies are great hideaways for a morning cup of coffee or a get away reading nook. Below this deck is a ground level patio. The covered deck provides an additional private outdoor entertainment space. There is a large propane grill with side burner. There are ADK chairs, pub style table, and such for lounging. Three levels of space give everyone the room they need and enjoy. There are two large TV’s with cable access in two different living spaces. The 4K TV has internet access. Your guests can enjoy different areas! Some of the kitchen and one living space has radiant floor heating to keep your toes warm! We are less than a quarter mile to the nearest restaurant and .4 miles to the movie theater. Walking to town is so close, fast, and enjoyable. The Jack Rabbit Trail is behind the house for exploring- you will just need to go to the outlet of the trail that is close by. There is much parking on a horseshoe driveway with additional parking spaces. No need to shuffle cars. If you have a boat or trailer, this gives you such ease in parking. But take note, Lake Placid only allows 4 guest cars. The entire house has ADK flair inside and out with unique handmade Adirondack art and furnishings. Bring your kayaks! Two free Lake Placid boat launches are so close with ample free parking. Mirror Lake also has easy launching at the public beach. Towels, sheets, soaps and shampoos are provided. The kitchen is well stocked for your staples for your cooking needs. There are also BBQ utensils and a large clam pot. There is an assortment of figure skates/hockey skates in the basement for guest use. We had 3 adult couples staying here. The home is super cute with great attention to detail! Incredibly clean, very spacious…we come to LP often and will definitely keep this place in mind for future trips. The host was also incredibly kind and accommodating! A nice walk to Main St puts you right in the action but with plenty of peaceful privacy at the house!

Easy/frequent communication, clean place, great location (walkable to town), worked out perfect for a couple of us for staying during Lake Placid lacrosse tournament.

This property has everything, including 5 pairs of snowshoes, which were put to good use on the Jack Rabbit Trail! The house was nicely decorated for Christmas, immaculate, well organized, cozy, convenient, and had a well stocked kitchen. The beds were also very comfortable. It was a perfect size for our group of ten. Looking forward to a return trip here for a Lake Placid summer experience in the future!

Everything was as advertised. Like most of LP, the walk to Main St is very hilly. 3 bathrooms worked out great, open floor plan has tons of room on main and lower levels.

The place was clean, comfortable and great for our needs. Unfortunately the high humidity was unforeseen for the area as we suffered a few nights of restless sleep in high room temperatures. We left the place as we found it and followed the closing instructions to a T. Home owner presented us with a nice welcoming basket of goods with a handwritten card wishing us a nice stay.

Second time staying here. Everything was perfect just like the last time. We love the location being close to Main Street but still having a private yard. The house is very clean, comfortable, and inviting. Love it here!
