Prachtig, sfeervol ingerichte kamer. Goed bed. Mooie badkamer. Vriendelijke gastvrouw. Speciale ruimte voor fietsen. Op loopafstand van schilderachtig stadje en prima eetgelegenheden. Zeer aantrekkelijk geprijsd, vooral last-minute. Frans ontbijt, gezellig aan grote tafel met andere gasten.

Persoonlijk houd ik niet zo van brood met alleen jam, een plakje kaas bij het ontbijt zou ik lekker vinden.

The house is an old charming house, by the river, and in a very quiet setting. I am sure it must be a wonderful place to stay if you go there during the summer months.

The owner - Sarah, was away, and her parents were the ones looking after it. I stayed in this place also in 2024, in december, for 10 days. Back in 2024, Sarah would be there every evening in order to speak to the guests, and to add wood to the big fireplace downstairs, so we could cook and eat in a warm area. Downstairs there is no heating in the kitchen/eating area, except for the fireplace. Sarah would also prepare breakfast and leave it in the fridge for those of us who had to leave early to attend a workshop. She replied promptly too. This december i stayed there again, and her mother was the one in charge. We had no fireplace working in the evenings; she was never there; once i received a message that the room temperature had to be set to 19 celsius max, due to some electrical problem. This was winter time and it is not reasonable to have such temperature set to be the max one. I replied that it was too cold for me, and somehow the electrical problem 'got fixed?'. The night before i left, one of the heaters stopped working. I contacted the host around 9:30 pm. Nothing was done to fix it. The following morning, as i was just eating something in order to check out, Sarah's mother was there, and it was just a very, very long monologue of excuses. New guest had just arrived, and i think that she chose to keep them company, rather than to try to fix the heating problem. Several times she told me to stay elsewhere next time, as i seemed to be too demanding. I find such behaviour to be quite rude.
