The breakfast was always good, a nice variety of items from which to choose, and very friendly staff. I loved the location overlooking the bay.

I think the shower head in the bathtoom could be more in the middle of the shower stall. It was a bit challenging as the shower head is too close to the wall.

Staff is very friendly and helpful and relatively attentive for a laid-back, slow-paced society. Good energy and good interaction with guests. The location is excellent if you like Courland bay and Turtle beach which one has almost to oneself. And don't forget that turtles nest there!! Gorgeous mornings and evenings on the shore. My son was delighted to see the release of some turtle hatchlings one night.

Hotel badly needs investment in upgrading the lobby area and dining facilities. In fact, that section should be totally rebuilt. The pool water was cloudy white which means that something was wrong - nobody entered the pool for 3 days. Hotel took too long to address that. There are also issues beyond the hotel's mandate. On the beach front, both visitors and fishermen leave litter on the shore. Too often there are empty plastic water bottles, beer bottles, shiny wrappers from snack foods, etc., etc. Each morning I picked up garbage as I walked. And when I raised it with the fishermen, some got angry and abusive. That does not augur well for the future. Furthermore, for about 100 metres on the side of the beach towards the fishing jetty at Plymouth point there was discarded, dead, rotting herring which is apparently by-catch from fishermen nets. That is a shock to see in 2026. Wasteful and unsustainable. Surely so much herring or other by-catch should be used to make pet food or as inputs into some other manufacturing process instead of leaving dead fish to rot on the beach. Sad statement about perhaps the wider society, not the hotel. But tourism involves MANY actors. Generally speaking, there is too much garbage on ALL beaches in Tobago. Not a good reflection on the local culture and the tourists who visit. Even Bucco Bay beach had empty plastic bottles, waste plastic of all types, beer & other bottles from alcoholic beverages, etc. But once I got beyond where the humans hang out on Bucco bay, the area was clean. Tobago needs to clean up its act.
