Grindelwald Holiday Cottage 2 is a large two storey, 5-bedroom Swiss-style house located on half-acre of landscaped gardens in the heart of the beautiful Tamar Valley food and wine growing region. This property is ideal for families or a group of friends. Relax in the large living spaces with modern amenities and spoil yourselves in this home away from home. This is the ideal base to explore the many natural, historic and wildlife attractions, participate in the many adventure & sport activities and/or indulge in the culinary, art & culture that Northern Tasmania has to offer. We are just a 20-minute drive north of Launceston, 30 minutes from Launceston Airport, 5 minutes from Legana Shopping Village and a short stroll to the Tamar Valley Resort, the Grindelwald Swiss Shopping Village and the adjacent 9-hole public golf course. The Grindelwald Swiss Shopping Village has an ice-cream shop, a lolly shop, a bakery and a newsagent & gift shop. There is also a variety of activities on offer at the Tamar Valley Resort including Putt-it mini golf, lake with watercraft activities and the Lakeside Alpenrose Bistro & Tavern. For more detailed information on what to see and do, the Tamar Valley Visitor Centre at Exeter is less than 10 minutes away. We had a delightful time at this gorgeous property, with multiple living areas and a large spacious garden to match the spacious interior this was the perfect getaway for us all. Conveniently located in the Tamar region it is the perfect place to tour around the region from.

Very friendly and responsible hosts, super clean house with comfortable beds and fresh linens. A ton of space for our group of 4 women and the kitchen was well stocked with most everything we needed to cook several meals. Location was good also, very close to a Woolworths and quick drive into Launceston. Would definitely stay there again!

Lovely hosts greeted us on arrival and showed us through the property. The extensive and beautifully appointed house easily accommodated the 5 adults and 4 children of our extended family. Within 24 hours the stressful lives we lead were forgotten and we settled in for a most relaxing holiday.

We are five friends who caught up for a girls' getaway to celebrate 30 years of friendship. John and Liang's house was simply perfect! Gorgeous gardens, huge home, five bedrooms and four bathrooms. We cooked up beautiful meals in the well equipped kitchen. John and Liang also had a real Christmas tree set up with lights! We absolutely recommend this property to others.

We loved our stay here. We were fortunate to have two adjacent properties which meant a group of friends could share time together and wander back and forward. The house is immaculate and luxurious. Loads of space and good amenities and appliances. Everything was spotlessly clean.
The location is perfect for a Tamar Valley adventure, including many great wineries. Launceston is very close. There are a few shops, including a small bakery, cafe and lolly shop just up the street at Grindelwald Swiss Village.
Liang and John are the best hosts around. We hope to stay there again next year.

Superb in every way
We were one of two families (friends) that stayed in the house and enjoyed our stay immensely - larger house with lots of different living spaces for personal space and peace and quiet - beautiful location and walking distance to the village and a 20 min drive (or bus) into the city - John and Liang were very welcoming and helpful - A great way to finish of our 2 week Tasmanian adventure. Would recommend highly

Annual Family Getaway
We are 6 sisters and this is our fourth year at this wonderful property. The hosts, John and Liang are a very friendly couple and we hope to be able to enjoy many more trips to their beautiful home.

Also they were friendly and they called us next day to make sure that everything was okay.
