About this cabin rental
Located in Ivy Hill, this attractive cabin for $145 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Beautiful 2018 one story 2BR/2BA cabin on 2 1/2 acres with a nice view. Completely furnished. Central heat and air, fireplace, granite counter tops with stainless steel appliances, gas grill, outdoor fire pit, internet, and Direct HDTV. The driveway is wide and there is room for a small trailer if you are up here for the Rally in the Valley or Thunder in the Smokies or if you want to enjoy some of the best ATV riding areas around. As far as location goes you can't do any better than this. Only 1/2 mile of good gravel road takes you right to Highway 19 with close access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Cherokee Indian Reservation. From there it's your choice - 4 miles to Maggie Valley; 4 miles to Water Rock Knob (highest point around with views of all the high mountain peaks; 4 miles to Black Camp Gap - where you will always see lots of Elk; 12 miles to Harrah's Casino; 15 miles to the Smoky Mountain National Park or 25 miles to Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountain Railway. Four-wheel drive or AWD is recommended to access the area from mid to late November and throughout winter months when there is snow or ice on the roads. The gravel road to the cabin is privately maintained and is a one lane road with pull-outs to allow oncoming traffic to pass. It is recommended to drive cautiously on the gravel road to the cabin.

Cabin was easy to find and very cozy. The bed in the master was perfect and we slept good. Had good water pressure in shower and the place was very clean. Had good cell service. Cabin is very close to blue ridge parkway entrance and only a few miles to one of the best overlooks on the parkway. Water rock knob. We had a great stay and will definitely be back.

This beautiful home is tucked away in the mountains. It is peaceful but yet it’s close to stores, casino, tubing and attractions. Mike was great and we had a fantastic weekend. I would pick this place every time. Thanks for everything Mike!

The cabin is beautiful. It was clean and very well built and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfy and the kitchen well equipped. Though we didn’t cook. You couldn't ask for a better location. It was convenient to Waynesville and Cherokee. We got to see an Elk! The weather turn off rainy and cold so we didn’t get to enjoy the deck or the firepit.

This was a repeat stay for us and we loved it just as much as before! Communication is great, the place is so clean that it’s like new, well equipped, easy drive, and very conveniently located to all the things we love to do in nature!

The property had a beautiful view from the deck and from the dining area and kitchen. We loved to watch as the sun as it started to shine on the mountains in the mornings. The cabin was cozy and very accommdating. The location was perfect, close to Maggie Valley, but not in it. I think we may have found a place that we'd like to visit again!

The cabin was so nice and the view of the mountains was amazing. The mountains can be seen from the deck and inside while sitting on the couch. Perfect combination.
There are so many great things to do in the area but the cabin was so comfortable we did more sitting on the deck than anything else.
Highly recommend this property. Mike was always quick to respond to messages during the process of renting and during our stay.

This cabin was amazing. We loved everything about it. Clean, perfectly decorated and everything you need. Beautiful view off of the deck. It is truly the perfect place to stay. The location is close to everything. We were able to make it up the drive with a Honda CRV. It will be our #1 place to stay. They need to rename it Almost Heaven. Its perfect.

We had a wonderful 3 nights at the Mountain Cabin getaway. It was clean beautiful and there were many extra touches such as fresh flowers on the kitchen table and flashlights at bedside. Beds were comfortable and Wifi worked well. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch viewing the trees and watching the sunset. Short drive to Harrahs we ate there a few times. We bought groceries on the way in in Waynesville. Fully stocked kitchen. I hope we can stay again

This clean, well appointed cabin was a great place to stay. We have been to this property twice now. Both times we have been very happy with everything. The door lock is a code - super easy to check in and no keys to keep track of. Washer and dryer, Keurig, toaster oven, toaster were all nice to have. The little wrap around deck has a breathtaking view of the Smoky Mountains, places to sit, and a nice grill with extra propane if needed. The little fire pit is perfect for toasting toes and marshmallows in the evenings. It’s an easy ride into Waynesville to the grocery store, fun shops, boutiques, and restaurants. There’s an entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway minutes away. There is lots of hiking and sightseeing in the area, and it’s about an hour to Biltmore Estate. 4 wheel drive is not a necessity, but a very good idea for the general terrain and the gravel driveway. I love this place an plan to come back again. My only request is a new mattress for the master bed!

My family and I stayed at this cabin last week for a few days. We love it here! The cabin was clean and well stocked throughout. We made most of our meals in the kitchen at the cabin and it worked out very well for us. We enjoyed the peace and quiet the cabin afforded our family. We also enjoyed watching the hummingbird come and visit us a few times as well! The view is absolutely perfect for watching sunsets. We stayed for four nights and made our Thanksgiving dinner at the cabin. We brought our own roasting pan for the turkey, but everything else we needed was there and in great condition! The beds were comfortable and the high ceilings in every room made it seem much larger than it was. The dogs enjoyed the deck and the adults enjoyed the firepit. If we return to the area we will definitely stay again!! Great communication and follow-up!

This is an excellent cabin for 1 couple or 2.. so beautiful with easy access to local areas. Gorgeous view. We enjoyed the gas fireplace inside and outside fire pit. We had our dog and appreciated the gated deck. Nice furniture and amenities. It was clean overall, but could use a detailed cleaning and cabinet organization. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay there again.

This home was a wonderful place to stay---wish we had stayed longer! The owner has thought of many details (kitchen and bath are well stocked with necessities). Great kitchen and incredibly comfortable throughout the home. Other reviews indicated a rough driveway...it may be, if you are used to the city. We have a dirt driveway at our home, so it was not that big of a deal---just go slow. Initially, we missed the road to turn. Look for the Blue Ridge Motel on Rte 11 as the Plott Balsam street sign is easy to miss. You can't miss the motel even if you are arriving at night.

This cabin is very cozy and clean. Built in 2018, everything is up-to-date and fresh. The log cabin decor is carried out in every detail. The view across the mountains is spectacular, whether seen from the deck or through the picture window of the main room. The little touches like bedside flashlights show an attention to the comfort of guests that surpasses expectations. The kitchen is well -equipped. Beds are comfy, and so is each piece of seating in the main room.
Do pay attention to the warnings about the driveway and the road up to the cabin, though. If you drive a low-slung car, this is probably not the best place for you. When entering the driveway it's important to swing wide from Boundary Trail onto the drive without pausing. Keeping momentum going is needed to
make it up the hill.

This has been one of our favorite cabins we’ve rented in Maggie Valley area. Access road decent as well as the driveway. Cabin decorated very tastefully and super clean. Everything worked as desired (except the DirectTV subscription didn’t include ESPN so I had to listen to football game on my iPhone- LOL). Will be back next year!
