Far West Motel

The hotel itself was in a great location. We weren't at the hotel much so it did its job.

The room was small including the bathroom. Our shower didn't drain well at all and there was a pair of used contact lenses in the bathroom when we checked in.

The price was outrageous but I understand trying to make money from the tourists coming to town. We were put in room 100 which was directly next to the highway. We had three different people try and come into our room because they thought it was the office. This definitely needs to be addressed. The bathroom definitely needs updated/repaired. The bed was super uncomfortable, hard as a rock.

Clean, neat and restful. Comfortable bed. Nice property. Loved being able to back up and unload at room door. So convenient!

The location was pretty nice and convenient, and parking was easy, which was definitely a plus. The staff were friendly, and the check-in process was quick and simple. The room itself was clean when we arrived, and the bathroom was well stocked with plenty of shampoo and conditioner. Overall, the basic things you would expect from a motel were handled well.

For the price we paid, I honestly expected a bit more. The room looked somewhat outdated and a little run-down in a few areas. The bathroom door would constantly get stuck, and sometimes it was actually pretty difficult to open. There was also very little counter space around the sink, so there wasn’t much room to put toiletries. The AC was another issue. The remote stopped working during the night, and the AC got stuck on a very low temperature, so we couldn’t adjust it. The rooms are also quite small. If you’re staying with another person and both of you have luggage, you really have to figure out where to put everything because there isn’t much extra space. I wasn’t expecting anything luxurious since it is a motel, but considering how much we paid, I expected the room and overall condition to be a little better (we came during some kind of town fest). We actually paid more for this room than we did for a room at a much nicer hotel in Seattle, which made the value feel pretty disappointing.
