Nestled in Dry Fork, this charming house for $259 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. MOUNTAINAIRE Spacious 4 Bed plus loft, 3 Bath home with its own fish pond! (catch and release only with bass/bluegill) Comfortably sleeps 10 people. This home has recently had many upgrades including furniture, flooring, doors and custom child gates on the deck. Gorgeous setting and great home for entertaining your entire group. Spacious deck overlooking pond, large open living area with hand-laid stone fireplace, plenty of seating, recreation room with pool table and hot tub! Fish from the dock or use one of the provided canoes. Guests also have access to two nearby community lakes as well as Mirror Lake. No pets. Bed 1: Queen Bed 2: Queen Bed 3: Queen Bed 4: Queen Loft: 2 Twins This home is located in the Old Timberline Gated Community where you will have access to two lakes, an exclusive access to Dolly Sods trail head as well as access to Canaan Valley Wild Life Trail heads and miles of maintained trails around the conservancy and lakes within the community. All Canaan Realty guests have complimentary access to the privately owned Mirror Lake Recreation Area. Enjoy fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, biking and more! House was clean and beds were comfortable. We had fun in the pond fishing and made use of the canoe. We brought floats and I would recommend bringing some if you come in the summer. It's a gorgeous location, very peaceful. Check in and check out was super easy. We would definitely stay here again. Our only complaint would be the dock needs some work, it's showing it's age.

Overall we had a nice stay, but the property could be better maintained.
We enjoyed the calm, the location and beautiful setting, the fireplace. However we found the information on the place and check in could be improved (we could not open the front door, and there is no information provided in the folder that are specific to the place beyond WiFi - for example on basic things such as heating in the house). Heating did not work in some rooms, many bulbs not working (see kitchen). The bathrooms would benefit from a little upgrade and the one upstairs is extremely small. Finally, stairs and loft inside the house are extremely dangerous and we had an accident with a toddler. Please think about protection those stairs as I see another comment on that. I would recommend listing as a 4 bedrooms in the parameters given the 2 extra beds are in a loft above the living room.

We were two families spending our Spring Break in the area - it was our third time to Davis, and our friends had never been there before. This house was a perfect fit for us. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 5 kids. It was super clean upon arrival. Zero 'smell' - owners definitely did solve the problem the previous renters mentioned. Home overall is well-loved and lived-in but the furniture is very comfortable (couches looked fairly new), kitchen table fit us all comfortably, and the beds/mattresses are perfect, we all slept great. Loved the tasteful decor. Kitchen had everything we needed. We kept our rubbermaid totes filled with pantry items as there's not much space in cabinets since they're so well stocked. A caution on the oven - the right side heats faster than the left - I put two trays of bacon in and one turned out perfect and the other was burnt to a crisp. Luckily some of us like burnt bacon ;) Only other caution - DVD player is much older than the TV and it doesn't actually have the right plug to work with it, so the DVDs I brought couldn't be played - but we found something on Netflix so no big deal! The pool table, hot tub, Atari, and canoe got tons of use - the downstairs was the kid zone. Love that they have bins of corn to feed the deer, who weren't shy in the least. We had an EPIC egg hunt on Easter Day that the kids will never forget. The place was magic - thank you to the owners for sharing this lovely home. We'll be back!

Overall the property was good, our family made it a great weekend! The septic tank system needs work, lots of work! The traps did not keep the odors out of the property! We had to keep the bathroom doors closed and the ceiling fans running to control the odor.

Exactly the vacation we needed
The cabin was great for a family trip of 4 adults and 4 kids. Fully stocked with a grocery store 20 mins away for home cooked meals. Trails around were great and we loved seeing the deers daily.

Perfect for a winter getaway with friends
Everything about this property was great. We couldn't fault anything. The location is great. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing deer everywhere, kids got in the pond and kayaked, we went on a few hikes within the Timberline community and just hanging out at the property. The fireplace was a real bonus and enjoyed it everyday. The property was very clean when we arrived. Another bonus was the washer and dryer. Sure came in handy with kids getting wet and muddy. Also, the hot tub was used everyday with a view of plenty of deer around the property. We give this property 10/10.

Fall wedding weekend getaway
The property worked well for our group. It was relaxing waking up and sitting on the deck to the view of the water and deer in the yard. We were not ready to leave on Sunday morning.

This house does not have AC. I missed looking for that in the property description. We went in July the house was 94 degrees in the loft. The third bathroom in the loft can barely fit one person at a time. I assumed tv meant it was in all the rooms. Nope only in living room and gameroom. Steps are open and dangerous for babies. Only 1 gate was in the house and it was not safe to use for the steps. Also there were legos all over the place and the babies some how found them all weekend. The pond is smaller than the pictures. No oars were provided at the house only a paddle boat that’s on its last leg. We had a fun family trip and made the best of the weekend. Mirror lake was the best part.

Peaceful and relaxing!
Great place to get away from noise and people. Needs some TLC and minor work outside but nothing bad. I didn’t like all the stairs myself but only because I have back and leg problems. The basement level is as expected musty smelling but could be worse. Bring spider killer too. Remember you are in the woods. Internet worked fine but wished it was faster. There was game consoles too but we never used them. Sadly the pool table never had cue chalk so we endured playing without it and that made for a not so good game night. Would we stay again? I would but will try to find a place that has only one level. Stairs are killing me in my late 50s.

It was a nice place. There was a few things that needed to be fixed but the office sent out someone and fixed it promptly. Enjoyed our stay.

Property scenery was great but the cabin itself was old and dirty.
There we’re mice droppings in the bed where I was going to sleep and dead big black ants all over the kitchen counters. It looked like the place had not been cleaned well in at least a week. The basement floor had a sewage smell.

With 4 adults and a child, this house is very comfortable. We stayed last year and had to come back again. The property location is quiet and relaxing. We spent a good amount of time fishing.

Fabulous Family Vacation
We enjoyed a relaxing week in this cozy mountain home. Our boys loved cruising around the pond in the paddle boat and spent many hours trying to hone their pool game. The hot tub was definitely a hit on those cool evenings after dinner. The location was pretty ideal too. A short drive to Davis and Thomas for supplies or dining or shopping and plenty of hiking options right in the neighborhood. A trip to the top of the mountain to take in the view of the valley and then take a little hike into Dolly Sods is definitely recommended! Other hiking and mountain biking options are not far off either and there are options for all skill levels.
Definitely a great choice for our family vacation.

Lovely place to hang out in the woods
My family had a great weekend at this house! Three kids under 8 enjoyed fishing in the pond and catching butterflies.
It's a short 15-20 minute ride into Davis or Thomas.
The twin beds are in a loft situation, so if you have very small children, it's not a great place for them to sleep considering the steep stairs and open railings.

Great place to stay!
The house is great, plenty of room for six of us. The pond was great, caught lots of bluegill, a couple of bass and a catfish. It was close enough to lots of thing to do. We would definitely stay again.
