Although the room was a little dated this is to be expected in an old building and they did everything for the room as to be needed. The bar and staff were amazing and the food was very good. A great all round experience

Room very nice and spacious.
Staff nice and friendly.
Cleanliness side of it. Breakfast was in the bar, and tables and floors felt a bit sticky, and plates / cutlery were pretty dirty too.
Also the "housekeeping" did make me chuckle. We stayed there for 2 nights. When we arrived, room actually seemed to be okay. Then next day the "housekeeping": they put bedspreads on the beds again, cleaned the sink a bit and rinsed the mugs we used for our juice / tea. Not washed - RINSED. You could still see which contained which drink before... i'd rather those not be touched at all. The thing that annoyed me - rubbish bins were not emptied and the single towel we left for them to change, because it was wet...it was still left on the floor despite their sticker about changing them if on the floor.
I mean would we stayed there one night, we would not even notice that and as a one night stay it would have been great. However staying longer, made me question a lot of things that are hygiene related 🙄
Also beds were not the best - ok, but not very comfy.
