Rooftop patio, functional kitchen, welcoming host
No parking. Had to move rental car between free and pay parking many times. Ground level was pretty dark, upstairs was bright and sunny

This accommodation is magnificent. It is located in a medieval little square with no car trafffic. It is a converted medieval building of two floors plus the rooftop in the midst of other old buildings. The building has been refurbished beautifully and looking after a number of refined detail. It is so stylish that you feel that every object, decoration, colour etc. was chosen by someone with gifted expertise and centuries long tradition. It is equipped with a lof of thing luxuriously. The view from the rooftop onto the castle hill and the surroundings is smashing.
Altough our general experience was smashing, unfortunately there were numerous small nuisances, too. First, we were told off because we did not communcatiate the exact arrival time and arrived 15 min. earlier. When I asked about breakfast (mentioned on booking.com) we were suggested to have breakfast in cafés instead. When I asked about car parking in Oria I was given confusing information (in fact, it took for me ca. 3 days to understand the written and unwritten rules here). The house is equipped mainly with Italian three pin sockets, so, I could only charge my laptop in the kitchen area. When I asked about an adaptor, I was responded: 'I do not understand your problem'. There were ants in the kitchen upon arrival (antiinsect spray was provided). When we run out of toilet paper after 4 days and asked for a refill I was suggested to buy it in shops. Albeit the little square was picturesque, in a house on the other side there were two badly treated dogs who kept barking at high pitch at everything. It was not just disturbing not letting us just stay a little outside but for our child it was intimidating. Those poor dogs have to spend their lives on a medieval balcony... At departure we were asked to move out and hour earlier, already at 9 am. on the pretext of a city festivity that made no sense. The cleaners could access the house anyway as there are many ways to get the little square. The next guest could have come later, why we had to go so early?
