La grenouille noir is a small part of an old village house right in the centre of Marcillat and full of vintage charm and quirky objects. The rooms are comfortable with an antique feel and breakfast is beautifully presented and there is a delicious range of fruit, yoghurt, cheese breads and croissants

This is an exceptional place: in the middle of a small town, calm, convenient and above all so welcoming. If you have a chance to have dinner here, please do: Christopher is an amazing cook, and many products are local. This is a great value for money. The hosts are amazing as well: warm and engaging.
