About this cottage rental
Recently refurbished to a very high standard, Clare Cottage is a traditional Lakeland stone built terraced cottage situated centrally in the beautiful village of Ambleside. With accommodation over 3 floors, the cottage provides ample accommodation for 6, it is deceptively spacious. The traditional comforts such as a log burning stove are complimented by contemporary furnishings, new bathrooms and kitchen. There are magnificent views to the front and rear of the property from the upper levels and with all the amenities of Ambleside on your doorstep, including shops & restaurants as well as walks for all abilities, a car is not essential.

Wonderful location. Great for hiking and in the midst of shops. We lucked out with parking on the street out front, so it worked out well. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in the cottage. Perfect location and everything you need inside. Only real gripe were the beds upstairs were not the comfiest but I think that’s largely down to us being quite tall. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing location for long walks, restaurants, pubs, shopping and relaxing in nature. The house is beautiful and has everything needed for a short or long stay.
