Just back from a fantastic stay on the beautiful island of Hydra, and we absolutely loved this charming house!
Located in the hills, the villa offers spectacular views over the harbor, with beautiful sunsets in the evening and an incredible view of the stars from the upper deck at night. The house is spacious, with three bedrooms of different sizes and two bathrooms, and is wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
Everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided, including practical essentials such as ironing equipment, which proved very useful during our stay - bring some shower gel/shampoo with you though.
A beautiful, peaceful place with plenty of charm and stunning views. We would happily stay here again!
Nothing actually! The walk up to the house is absolutely worth it (the mules will carry up your bags) as it leads to one of the most stunning views on the island.
One small suggestion: perhaps add a lounge set on the upper roof terrace, which would make an already amazing spot even more enjoyable. 😊

Rallou House is a fabulous property with carefully curated rooms reflecting a unique and historic style. It is very spacious with sea views from most of the dual aspect windows. The two main terraces though are the most standout feature with sweeping views across the island. Breathtaking.

We had a wonderful stay and absolutely loved this beautiful house. The architecture is full of character and perfectly complements the charm of Hydra. The views over the harbour from the living room are simply spectacular and made spending time in the house a real pleasure. Sofia was an exceptional host—she welcomed us personally on arrival, arranged mules for our luggage, and was always quick to respond to any questions or requests. Her warmth and attention to detail made us feel genuinely looked after throughout our stay.
There were only two minor points that future guests may find helpful to know. The house is in a lovely elevated position, but the walk is quite steep and can feel tiring if you plan to go back and forth several times a day. Also, the main living area does not have air conditioning, so it can become quite warm during the summer days. Neither of these affected our enjoyment of the property, but they are worth keeping in mind.
