Great location in an amazing place. Bit lacking on the execution of running a hotel.

Great location.

The bed cover had a bit of a booze smell to it. Towels were tiny. Like hand towels. The hot water in the shower didn’t last long enough. The internet wasn’t working and they never managed to fix it.

not worth the money

The toilets were not clean. the sink did not drain, the flat sheets were missing, one towel had two huge holes….. in the morning round 5am the suppliers of food and drink are very very noisy delivering the goods with metal wheel chariots on the white stone of the streets…. once we had the flat sheets delivered they weren’t even fitted on the bed, just left in our beds for us to do. I would not mind if I was not paying that much!!!!

Disappointing

Excellent location in the middle of the old town.

The apartment was dirty when we checked in - hairs in the bed. Pillow case unchanged. Old used towel left over the wardrobe door. They had to re-clean the room for us. The check-in was at a different location a few blocks away. AC did not work well, so was very hot. Noisy from the streets around - which can be expected. On the last night, there was a smoke haze/electrical burning smell. we were told this was from the restaurant below.

Disappointing - wouldn’t stay here again

The apartment is located in the centre of the Old Town so a great base for exploring the city. However, with this comes a little noise from nearby restaurants etc. It is serviced by nearby Pucic Palace whose staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave luggage etc when we arrived / departed.

The apartment is very basic but as we were only staying one night this wasn’t an issue. The air con didn’t work very well and opening windows wasn’t an option due to noise levels. The apartment wasn’t properly clean with hair on the floor in the bathroom and some on the sheets etc. When we returned for the night after dinner we found that the room was filled with hazy smoke & smelt like a fryer! It was hard to ascertain where this had come from as no windows had been left open. It was uninhabitable so we requested to be moved by Pucic Palace who found us a room in the hotel. Sadly all of our belongings also smelt of the food / fryer having been left in the room.

Dream hotel & location and amazing breakfast !

BEST BREAKFAST! at pulica palace included in an amazing apartment, blueberry and banana pancakes to die for, perfect apartment very stylish amazing rain shower, right in centre,4 of us had the best time as a family, location perfect, all the staff were very helpful (ESPECIALLY EMIR at breakfast he was so great), best breakfast I had at any hotel, it was a dream stay

It was right in old city centre so it was but noisy outside some night and noisy in 5 am but it was not the hotel's fault car parking was terrible, we had to pay 700 kunas (£80) each night to park Hilton for £240 for 3 nights, so I do not recommend renting a car in Dubrovnik

Great room in a great location

The room was newly refurbished and very comfortable. The location was amazing - right in the centre of Old Town. The staff at the nearby hotel where you check in were also really helpful.

It was quite noisy at night, but that’s what you expect for such a central location and it didn’t bother me.

Exceptional! Wonderful stay, excellent location

Loved staying in this apartment. Located right on the square where the market is held every morning but still in a quiet place and a short walk from Ploce gate. Spacious and clean room, comfy beds and a powerful shower. Staffs are very kind and helpful and do everything for you. Excellent breakfast in a 5 star hotel nearby. There is a flight of stairs until reaching the apartment. The steps are low, but they are old, made of stone or marble, and a little worn by the years. We had no problem, but older people or with walking issues need a little attention. You can hear the music from the nearby restaurants til around midnight and the church bell ringing very early in the morning, but for us, it was part of the old town charm...

Unfortunately, I strongly recommend not staying here unless you like to party or are deaf.

The room was nice and the staff was great. Everyone was mostly helpful. The breakfast was very good. The TV in room 11 worked with a USB device to watch recorded movies just fine and the TV volume got loud enough to hear over the party outside. Everything in town was close.

Daily they played music from some wall mounted speakers outside in the square starting at 10 AM and then ended at 12 midnight. It was a little loud, but I expected this along with people talking and partying; other reviewers hit on this and it was fine. However, one night (27-12-2019) they had a "DJ BATTLE" with Speed/Petra/Lane and it was extremely loud (~10,000W speakers). Imagine some crap garage band playing for the first time in a large venue and your room is just to the side of the stage. DJ battles really should be in clubs and not old towns and the guesthouse should mention this because it will ruin peoples' vacations. The shower door was getting very close to being considered broken, the drinking glasses in room were crusty/dirty, and the wifi didn't work, but I consider that normal for a guesthouse and my only concern for future guests is the noise.

Could be Better

The room was nice.

I arrived at the place late. I think if you're a solo female traveler, it could be daunting to find this place as it is hard to see the address at night. Someone did show up who was nice. I was too tired to listen about where to have breakfast, etc but was told if I needed anything, to contact the host via WhatsApp. Well, I tried but he or they never responded. The room was not clean either. Hand marks from kids on the mirror, the bedsheets made me itchy and the glasses in the room had dust at the bottom. If I needed anyone for anything, wouldnt be able to talk to someone there as I didnt even know where the host was ever and since they just read and did not respond to the WhatsApp message, I knew I could not rely on them. So after the first 3 min after being shown my room, the next 3 nights were in total isolation. Did not even know where to leave the key when I was leaving. This place has the potential to be great. Just please pay more attention to your guests, be cleaner and more reliable. It would help loads. Keep in mind that this room is quite cold and the water temp doesnt remain hot for long as it is an old building. If I wanted more blankets to keep warm though, I couldn't find anyone anyways so I slept with my clothes on.
