Oistins is an area which is well known to tourists/travellers, being famous for its Friday Night Fish Fry, where you can experience great freshly grilled food, live music and entertainment. The cottage is situated on a central residential road with flowing car traffic, and on which buses operate. However, as the property is set off of the main road to Oistins and set slightly back from the road that it is situated on, you are able to enjoy peace & tranquility also. A number of buses run from Oistins to town (and the various routes along the way, e.g. St Lawrence Gap), and from Oistins straight to the airport and nearby golf course (Durants). On arrival, we were initially met and collected from the airport by a well-mannered driver Ricky who took us to the house. He is definitely someone to keep in touch with as if you need a driver he takes minutes to collect you and take you anywhere on the island should you so wish. On arrival at house we had a warm greeting from Charlene (the housekeeper). The property has 3 delightful bedrooms all decked out with air conditioning and TV. On our first night we sat out in the area to the back of the property chilling out with a cool glass or two of something (rum) which is a must if you get a chance to have a tipple or visit the rum factory on a tour. There are loads of bath/beach towels, clean bedding, a washing machine and every item of cutlery and crockery you might need should you wish to cook a meal or make a cup of tea. There are so many places to eat out you may not want to cook. I would recommend Granny’s Kitchen for food. This was my personal favourite. The home was clean and located well within walking distance of the beach and also the local community. The bank and supermarket was a stones throw away as was Oistins Fish Friday celebrations this is a must if you happen to stay there on a Friday. This night was amazing I can only describe it as a massive carnival with music and dancing on stage, rum flowing and local delicacies are in abundance. Beer seems to be cheaper here than it is in the UK. We were out in the day as much as possible I promise you by 4am in the morning when the cock crows and the sunshine filters through your windows you will want to be up and about. The veranda is fabulous because you can sit and watch the world go by and the shutters at the front of property provide as much privacy as you desire. I would highly recommend a stay here. We danced and danced well into the early morning to the reggae music that made you move your hips whether you like it or not. We visited Harrison’s Cave (highly recommend it) we did this after the rum tour. We also had a chance to visit Rihanna (“the international singer’s”) home that she grew up in and the street she lived on up until the age of 16 has now been renamed after her “Rihanna Drive”. Worth a visit is Bridgetown which you can easily get to on any of the many local buses/taxis . 2 dollars is all you have to pay to go anywhere. Thank you for making our first experience magical.Much love and respect.

What a beautiful home!!! It was even nicer in person, modern look and clean, it felt like home. We had cold water & cold face cloths waiting for us upon our arrival. What a nice touch! We also had our groceries we requested all put away, which was nice we did not have to spend time going grocery shopping since we had such a short visit. The front porch was a nice place to have your morning tea or night time beverage. The back of the house also had a nice setup to hangout & have dinner. The kitchen was well equiped for cooking, measuring cups and all . The small things make a big impact, beach towels, a cell phone you can load with minutes to use, a laundry room and a high chair for the little one. My family enjoyed our stay and were very pleased that this would be a place to stay when we return.I love how close it is to the beach and so nice to be able to walk to the Friday night fish fry. Keisha and Charllene were both wonderful and made this quick trip amazing. Thank you!
