The view was lovely, although there are power lines across most of the view. We spent most of our time on the porch swing. Just loved it. The studio apartment was clean and well thought out. Little kitchenette was sufficient for making coffee, heating/toasting food but not for cooking meals. We chose this place for the view and walkability to restaurants. There are no sidewalks so walking is risky at night. Turns out the locals consider this area of Coral Bay the barnyard due to goats and roosters nearby. We found it delightful. There's a sound machine though. The bed was comfortable, shower water pressure is great. We didn't need the a/c unit and had the windows and sliding glass doors open even at night to catch the trade winds. The area felt very safe. Owners are on site and Jack is a wealth of knowledge. They've been on the island a long time and he shared lots of stories and info about the island. We rented the jeep with no hassles. Snorkeling gear, beach chairs, towels, noodles, backpack, cooler, tote bag, water bottles - all part of the rental unit. Can't beat that! We also appreciated travel books and Julie's 4-5 day guide with clear directions. wifi worked fine. We ordered the gluten free mango bread - YUM! Would definitely recommend this spot.

We are first time visitors to the USVI and selected St. John for its nature oriented experience. We prefer to spend our vacation lodging in relaxed surroundings, so we chose Coral Bay. Julie and Jack delivered on this and more. From the intoxicating trade wind breezes flowing through the studio and across the expansive porch facing Coral Bay to the bucolic and pastoral scenes of the surrounding area we were so very pleased with our stay. We will miss our morning coffee watching the magnificent sunrise each day and relaxing on the front porch after busy mornings of snorkeling, hiking and exploring the island. The communication between us and the hosts was seamless and the wonderful property exceeded our expectations. Jack was extremely informative regarding the Jeep rental, getting around the island and Julie's cooking was fabulous. All of the equipment we could ever need while on vacation was provided free of charge (beach chairs, snorkel gear, cooler, beach towels, etc.). We will stay with Jack and Julie again next time we are in St. John!

My husband and I came to St. Johns for the first time for our honeymoon 12/26-1/4 and it was a slice of heaven. Jack and Julie have been on the island for over 20 years. They arranged a taxi to and from the ferry after arriving from St. Thomas which was wonderful to not have to worry about how we would get to our place. The place was very clean, quiet, and had a beautiful view overlooking the bay. There were a few restaurants close by which was nice to hit after a long day snorkeling. Julie's room service meal was the best food we had while there for our stay which says so much since all the food was delicious. The process overall to check in and out was smooth and having the opportunity to rent a jeep from them not only saved money, but was one last thing we would have needed to do when we arrived. They were available for any questions we had, provided great insight with guide books and marked maps to make our journey that much better. Jack and Juiie provided everything we needed while there for our stay. Highly recommend them as hosts.

We enjoyed our stay in Coral Bay. It was a great location for getting to the beaches at the south and east ends of the islands, and an easy 20 minute drive via jeep to the north shore beaches. The jeep we rented from Jack was in tip top condition and we couldn't have gotten by without it. We also appreciated the free use of the snorkeling gear and beach chairs. We had two meals that Julie prepared, and they were both delicious. We enjoyed having a big patio area as well. I would recommend this location if you want to stay on the Coral Bay end of the island, and you will definitely need a jeep.

Coral Bayview is a wonderful spot to enjoy all that the Coral Bay end of St. John has to offer. And honestly, nothing is far on St. John. The island is 20 square miles. You could easily stay in Coral Bay and enjoy anything and everything on the island. We chose to stay there as it is considered the quiet end of St. John, which suits us just right. Jack and Julie are extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable about the area. We rented a jeep from them and had a great experience. The rates were very reasonable and Jack is very helpful with info and tips for safely driving on the left side of the road and navigating around the island. We also ordered three room service meals from Julie which were all excellent. The steak tacos are especially exceptional! The studio apartment itself is lovely, well-appointed, and you can't beat the views of Coral Bay from the covered deck. Just as a point of reference, be aware that as of this writing, cell coverage on St. John or St. Thomas with Verizon is non-existent. Free wifi is not hard to find around most businesses and restaurants, so work-around communication via email is certainly possible. That is what we did and everything worked out just fine. Julie was responsive and helpful in so many ways, both before and during our stay. They are both personable, helpful, and happy to help you enjoy everything about St. John. I recommend this property and look forward to staying there again!

We loved the location of Julie & Jack's studio. The south shore gave you more of a country feel of what St. John has to offer. Our studio was cozy and clean as well as spacious for our stay. Beautiful sunrises await you as you are greeted by various animals including goats donkeys lizards and chickens/roosters that roam the properties below. Hosts get you up and running with amenities such as beach gear included with your stay. Renting a vehicle makes exploring much more accessible and worth getting up early to hit the surrounding beaches in the area. Enjoy private and quiet evenings with local restaurants within walking distance. Definitely worth a stay if you prefer a true slice of island life. Jack and Julie made our stay a memorable one.

We found this property to have everything we needed for a great beach trip. Definitely recommend renting a jeep to get around the island. The snorkel gear, cooler , chairs and umbrella were great perks from the owners. We also appreciated all the tips and followed a lot of Julie’s recommendations as far as beaches and hikes. We ordered flank steak tacos from Julie and really liked them! There are great views off the balcony and the room was comfortable!
