The room was generally well appointed, with all the usual facilities you would expect. The bathroom was clean and the shower water hot. The kitchenette had enough things to handle breakfast and making sandwiches for the day's hike. We have stayed there several times before and its location is brilliant if you like hiking and exploring the local area on foot or on bicycle. And all at a very reasonable price, unlike much of the rest of Southwold and Walberswick.
There was no breakfast. From previous stays I had expected basic breakfast materials, e.g. porridge or muesli, jam, butter and some form of bread / bagel. Maybe I miss-read the booking this time, but there was no breakfast. We had not planned for this and had to buy extra food at Walberswick's local shop (which is not the cheapest).

The room was excellent this was our 3rd stay at the Lodge and all rooms were clean, comfortable and nice, with tea, coffee, sugar, shower gel, soap etc supplied

Good location and the rooms were very clean
The advertisement was misleading.
I booked for my family with 4 children expecting to get a suite with a stove and sitting room.
Instead we got individual rooms, a small microwave and very steep stairs which was sadly unsuitable for small children.
So my family left after one night and went home.
I found the exterior of the house a bit run down with a broken chair on the front lawn.
Of course the drought didn't help.
We won't be going back there
