About this house rental
Located in Merrijig, this charming house for $404 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. ***Please contact us directly if your bookings are more than 8 Adults*** *** 1 Night Bookings Available *** RETREAT DETAILS Surf Mountain Retreat offers private accommodation right on the doorstep of Mount Buller. The Retreat is set on two levels which enables flexible accommodation packages for families and groups. We are also a pet friendly home! --UPSTAIRS-- Upon entering, you'll be in awe of the beautiful open plan design comprising of a large lounge area, floor to ceiling windows and comfy sofas. Sit back and relax in front of the fire place while you soak in the 180 degree views of Mount Buller and the green lush bushland and wildlife that surround our Retreat. A reverse cycle system in the lounge heats and cools as necessary and the additional fireplace is perfect during the colder months. Upstairs comprises of four large bedrooms all with built in wardrobes and plenty of cupboard space for clothes and suitcases. All bedrooms have wall panel heating. Upstairs sleeping arrangements are as follows. * Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed with Ensuite and large TV * Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed * Bedroom 3 - Queen Bed and 1 x Triple Bunk Bed (double bed & single bed) * Bedroom 4 - Queen Bed and 1 x Triple Bunk Bed (double bed & single bed) Entertaining is a breeze at our retreat with a large 12 seater dining table and a fully equipped kitchen including complimentary coffee, tea, sugar and milk. Step out onto the undercover balcony, cook up a BBQ, play cards around our large outdoor setting or soak in the large outdoor spa. To cold on the deck? Step back inside and snuggle up on the sofas with the sound a crackling fire place, watch a DVD, listen to a record or enjoy the free wifi. We also have a variety of boardgames and books to keep all ages occupied. Downstairs sleeping arrangements comprise of a queen bed and two single bunk beds. (Sleeps 6 in total) Downstairs Amenities: * Open plan living with modern kitchen * Fridge / Freezer * Gas cooktop and oven * Bathroom with shower and toilet * Dryer * TV & DVDs * WIFI * Wii Console, Toys and Boardgames * Wall panel heating --Included in your stay-- * All bed linen and bath towels are provided. * Undercover carport for 2 cars spaces. * Tea / Coffee / Sugar provided. * One complimentary bucket of firewood and kindling for lighting the fire. (Winter months only) ==RULES & POLICIES== It is our expectation that our property is solely used for quiet holiday purposes and that guests understand this before booking. The rules in place are to protect our home, the relationship with our neighbours and community. It is important to read our house and property terms and conditions before booking the property. We do not accept INSTANT bookings that involve parties or groups of adults more than 12. Please contact us if you have bookings larger than 12 adults. Please note that Surf to Mountain has safety measures in place to protect our property and the safety of guests. Security Cameras are placed at the front (carport and facing out to the road) and rear deck over back sliding door and spa (facing away from the property towards the back yard). While these devices do record activity (movement and sound), they are not designed to be intrusive of your stay and are solely used for security & safety purposes only. No recording devices are located inside or face inside the property (please see our terms and conditions for further information).

The bottom half of the house is a little tired,with quite a lot of work that needs to be done.

This property is great for large groups that still want their own space. It has two levels, both with kitchen and bathrooms.
Kitchen pots and pans are a bit tired so you may need to bring your own.
Be aware when booking that the price advertised is only for 8 people. Any extra and you’re charged $50pp per night.

We had a lovely stay and hopefully will return next year. Very convenient for a few days in the snow with little children- plenty of space and the birds visiting the verandah at breakfast were great!
Just as a help for you
We had pasta one night and there didn’t seem to be a large enough pot with a lid to fit.
The couch downstairs- one back on it fell down within 5 mins of being there- dangerous for little kids.
It would be handy if the child fence on the stairs could be fixed
Was a bit weird that a drone kept coming over when the spa was used?

Gorgeous Property
The property it’s self cannot be faulted. Everything listed was what was delivered. Amazing views and outstanding property.
The 4pm check in and 10 am check out was the down side. I paid for 3 days 2 nights sleep, however that was cut short by the property manager who advised it was due to cleaning. When we arrived there we’re cob webs that look like they have been around longer than covid and we found a dirty Band-Aid in the down stairs living. At the price that was paid and the excuses I was given I expected a little more at that price.

We stayed 4 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our time.
The house was spacious so that everyone could spread out, kids downstairs and parents upstairs. Spa was great even on the chilly evenings, property was clean and well maintained.

We were very happy here and found the house spacious and clean. The heating was more than adequate, the kitchen well equiped and beds extra comfy.
The amazing view of BULLER and the mountain range was truly stunning as were the king parrots that came onto the deck. An enjoyable place to stay in the high country.

Wow wow wow!
We absolutely loved this property. The house was even better than it looked on the website and was perfect for our group of 10 people and 2 dogs. Plenty of space and everything we needed was there. The view from the deck is spectacular and the stars at night were incredible. We all wished we could have stayed for longer. Would love to come back and enjoy it all again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!
