Nestled in Caister-on-Sea, this attractive cottage for $139 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Sandy Cottage is an original mid 1800's semi detached Fisherman's Cottage. Refurbished to a high standard it boasts a central location in the old part of Caister village, approximately 150 metres from the quiet sandy beach and dunes (Dog friendly beach all year). Fishing is popular on the local beach, with a good selection of different species being caught all year round. Views of the Caister Life Boat Station and a partial sea view can be seen from the front bedroom window. With off street parking for 2 vehicles on a gravel driveway to the front of the cottage there is also plenty of additional parking on the road down the side of the property. The nearest pub and chip shop are situated about 150 metres away with several other pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops within a 5-10 minute walk. The moated Caister Castle and the Beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park are just a very short drive away, giving you the opportunity to explore the Broads and maybe do some fishing aboard your very own Broads cruiser which you can hire for a day from one of the many local boatyards. The Cathedral City of Norwich is situated within a 30 minute drive. With its Castle, many Historical attractions and endless shops restaurants and entertainment, your sure to find something for everyone. The Seaside resort of Great Yarmouth is just 3 miles away with good public transport links (buses every 10 minutes). If you enjoy the flashing lights of the arcades on the seafront, enjoy a few white knuckle rides or are looking for some night-life then its well worth a visit. It also hosts a Shopping Centre, Racecourse, Golf course and Dog/Banger racing Stadium. If you want a quiet retreat or enjoy a busy schedule then Sandy Cottage is ideally placed for you to relax or explore the surrounding area.

Fab property located a few minutes from a beautiful beach and in walking distance of shops and pubs.
The property had everything we needed and more. There is a upstairs and downstairs bathroom and the showers in them were great!

Great location to beach shops and pubs. Comfortable house everything you need, but the Staircase is very steep and narrow so not suitable for everyone.
The court yard garden had a lovely sunny aspect, but needed sweeping daily , also the Barbecue was very rusty , as pointed out by previous reviews so we didn’t use it. On the whole we enjoyed our stay

Our second visit and our long weekend was even better than last year. Lots of lovely little touches around the cottage. Location is perfect being just a couple of hundred yards from an amazing beach. Dog friendly pubs and cafe virtually on your doorstep Cottage is spotlessly clean on arrival and really comfortable. We will definitely book again for next year.

This house was just perfect. A real home from home with everything we needed. Lovely and clean and well equipped with plenty of storage and secure. We were a group of 4 adults, 2 children and a dog and there was plenty of room for us all. The local amenities had everything we needed just a short walk away. And the beach was literally at then end of the road.
The whole booking process was smooth and easy. Would definitely recommend and would look to return to this property again. Thank you. We had a lovely family break!

The cottage was as described.Nice to have 2 shower rooms.Plenty of space for the 5 of us.Good parking for 2 cars off-road.Close to sandy beach.If I was returning to the area I would have no hesitation in booking this cottage again.

Caister holiday
Comfortable and well appointed cottage,not far from the beach.Has a small back yard with table and chairs,plus a barbecue which unfortunately was extremely dirty and rusty,so no body would be able to use.Otherwise we had a very pleasant stay.

Just what we needed
Fabulous cottage, very clean and welcoming. Ideal for the beach just a few minutes walk away.
We sat out in the back which is a real suntrap. The Castle Carvery is a short drive away where we had gorgeous food. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely little break over the jubilee weekend. Space for 3 adults and 2 kids, great access to the beach. Clean property with all the amenities required.

Brilliant location and lovely home
Great location and lovely place to stay. Nothing is missing in the kitchen, in fact it had more in it than my own home! we had 4 adults, 2 children and a dog staying and it felt quite spacious.
The WiFi is strong so I could work remotely whilst the others walk 2mins to the beach.
Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The house was very well appointed and all the promised features worked exactly as expected making the stay very relaxing. I can't over state how lovely the beaches are. All the family loved it and we plan to visit again as soon as we can.

Great cottage close to beach.
Lovely clean well equipped cottage in good location. Everything you need for a relaxing stay and the dogs and us enjoyed the miles of almost empty beaches, whilst only being a short drive from Great Yarmouth. Very helpful communication from the owners. Highly recommended.

Cosy cottage near the beach
Lovely cottage with quiet beach nearby. The location made it easy to visit the Norfolk Broads, a day at the Races and many other nearby attractions.

Lovely cottage close to beach
Lovely clean property with excellent decoration reflecting its seaside location. Comfortable beds and really well equipped with everything needed. Beach, seaside walks, nice pub and local shops all within a few minutes. Welcoming pre-stay information sent by owner was much appreciated. A great choice for a seaside holiday and definitely one to return to !

Excellent location
A great little cottage, had absolutely everything we needed and location near to the beach and centre of caister was great. Owners were helpful with recommendations of restaurants before our arrival. Off-street parking was useful but we didn’t even need to use the car for the first few days. We found some lovely walks directly from the cottage and it was near enough to Norwich for a walk on a rainy day. The location is really close to the broads too. Would recommend for great walks and friendly local pubs.

A cosy home, well equipped and very clean in a beautiful location. Couldn't be much closer to the beach. The stairs might be a bit of a challenge for some people but overall we had an excellent stay.

This is a very cleverly designed characterful cottage, only a minutes walk from beautiful soft sand and sea, active lifeboat station and the Norfolk Coastal Path.

Lovely cottage by the beautiful Norfolk coast
We enjoyed a relaxing few days in this comfortable cottage, which is a few strides away from the beautiful beach. We visited in October when the weather wasn't great but it didn't stop us getting our walking boots out to explore the coastal path and it's a short drive from the broads for a day out too.
Covid-19 restrictions and rain meant that we spent more time at the cottage than we would normally have chosen to but it was well equipped and comfortable so was also enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this cottage.
