This is an exceptional place to stay - not just somewhere to sleep for a few nights but a complete Swedish countryside experience. The house has all of the traditional charms including pictures and books on the intimate links to local history, but also all one needs as a traveller - a full kitchen, washing machine, kids toys, etc.
Talking of kids - they will be mostly entertained outside. We had to change our travel plans and just let them roam around the farm, interact with the animals and annoy (hopefully not too much) the very friendly hosts. In short, if we go back to Sweden for a holiday we would happily spend a week+ here.
Nothing. If you are thinking of booking you need to realise this place is quite remote and accessible by gravel roads which are very smooth but not fast. In return for your efforts you will get a unique expericence.

Im Grunde hatten wir fast den Eindruck einen Urlaub auf dem Bauerhof zu machen. Das Ferienhaus ist Teil eines alten, größeren Bauerngehöftes und die Vermieter wohnen im Haupthaus (weiß), während wir vermutlich im alten Gesindehaus waren. Für unsere Kinder war ein großer Teil des Geländes zugänglich so dass sie einfach viel Zeit allein draußen verbringen konnten. Die Jungs spielten Fußball oder nutzten die kleine ZipLine, meine Tochter war vom Islandpony fasziniert und durfte es einmal bürsten. Der Rasen ist super. Man kann draußen Frühstücken oder so. An einem Morgen brachte uns der Vermieter Simon ein frisch gebackenes Brot vorbei. Da fühlt man sich doch willkommen. Überhaupt waren sie immer ansprechbar und hilfreich. Man befindet sich in einem Waldwandergebiet, kann also direkt vom Haus aus Smålands Natur erkunden. Wir hatten keine Mücken (Mitte Juli). Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Kultur gibt es in Oskarshamn, ca 20 min per PkW. Interessant, dass dieses Gehöft mit der Lebengeschichte des hiesigen Künstlers "Döderhultarb" verknüpft ist. Wir hatten hier als Familie wirklich eine schöne Woche.
An der Küchenausstattung kann man ein paar Dinge optimieren (Kochlöffel, Kellen, Feger). Das hatte ich den Vermietern schon mitgeteilt und die werden das vermutlich beschaffen.
Man muss wissen, dass es sich um ein zweistöckiges altes Bauernhaus handelt - also recht hellhörig ist.
Wie in absolut jeder Ferienwohnung egal in welchem Land gibt es zu wenige Haken an den Wänden für Handtücher (zumindest für 5 Personen).
WLAN gibt es nicht und auch kein Fernseher. Für unsere Art des Familienurlaubs war das allerdings sehr entspannend. Das 4G-Netz ist allerdings stark.
