About this villa rental
Villa Modica is immersed in the picturesque Sicilian countryside, a short distance from the Baroque city of Modica. It is a perfect family luxury holiday villa, blending modern comforts afforded by renovation, with the timeless charm and character of Sicilian country architecture. The focal point of the outdoor space is the large ( 6 x 12 meter) salt water, solar heated, swimming pool, terraced into the sloping landscape of the surrounding valley. The professional tennis court is also a place to enjoy a game of tennis with friends or family. After a day of sports or touring, you can relax in the hot tub jacuzzi which seats five people, and enjoy its panoramic view.
The Villa Space
As you enter the private parking area, you are greeted by the sight of characteristic stone pillars flanking a traditional gate. The warm colours of the sun-bleached dry stone walls give a sense of rustic elegance. Intricate details in the landscape and garden pay homage to the rich architectural and natural heritage of the land.
Walking through to the main entrance, you are welcomed into a spacious living room area which connects to a large, well-equipped, kitchen with dining area where the high ceiling is adorned with decorated stuccos, typical of Sicilian decor.
There are five elegantly appointed bedrooms each with air-condition and central heating, 2 rooms with king-sized beds and 3 rooms with 2 single beds each which can easily be joined together upon request, all with high quality mattresses. The bedrooms are large, with private baths, and an enclosed glass veranda offers panoramic views of the valley below. The rooms are designed for utmost comfort and privacy.
The spacious outdoor grounds are dotted with fruit trees, grape vines, and blackberry brambles. As well as the above mentioned pool and jacuzzi, next to the jacuzzi there is a Zen area with ancient stone walls, nestled into the grounds, creating an atmosphere of tranquility and serenity.

Maid service or a cook for an original Sicilian meal can be arranged at the time of booking.
At the far corner of the property, we have Happy Farm a petting zoo of domestic animals. There is a pony, a donkey, chickens, ducks, geese, Tibetan goats, and much more, which kids and adults can interact with.

This is indeed an incredible property. So relaxing, beautiful views, great pool, hot tub and tennis court, plus wonderful gardens with lots of places to sit out and enjoy. As for the hosts, Antonella and her family were awesome. They booked a restaurant when we asked for recommendations, answered every question however minor, and could not have done more to make us feel welcome and looked after. Best bit, comfy beds all round, quiet location, a really good nights sleep, followed by lazy days enjoying the Villa and the local area. Loved it, would give more praise if I could.

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic stay at George and Antonella’s beautiful home. This is not a typical vacation home, but an experience. The pool, the hot tub, the playground, and the farm animals all provided hours of entertainment for our kids and adults. The view over the valley is breathtaking, and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. We’d love to return someday.

For our second time we have stayed at Villa Modica, but we now call it our home away from home. From the moment we arrived it was fantastic!!! To seeing Giorgio (owner) & his lovely family, to the comfort and beauty of his villa.
Whatever we needed, it was there! From, appliances, to linens, to food, to herbs etc... it was all there at the villa!
Thank you to Antonella, Giorgio's wonderful wife, who had welcomed us with a home cooked meal. Let's not forget the abundance of wine that dear Giorgio made available to us.
Giorgio, a friend that we have made for life! A man who devotes himself to his family, friends and guests at his villa. Always available 24/7!!!
Thank you Giorgio for introducing us to our dear friends Ken & Alena from Scotland. Spending those days with all of you was memorable!
The villa was immaculate! The grounds were spectacular! Surrounded by different types of fruit trees, wonderful herbs, inviting pool, and Luna the cat! How we looked forward to breakfast in the veranda, with gorgeous view of Modica. Whether we wanted to laze around the pool or stay in the bar-b-que section of the villa where it was well shaded, we had a fantastic time!! We absolutely adore your villa and how we are welcomed. Of course we will be back only next time our stay there will be extended to 3 weeks!!!! We can not get enough of Villa Modica and Giorgio!!! Until the next time our dear friend!! There is no one like you Giorgio!!
