Hospitality, the host, and the location. Thomas and his sister are wonderful people — genuinely welcoming and flexible with everything we needed. There’s a parking area right next to the apartment, so my tip: book a car for your stay and park it there. It makes the most of a trip to Roda, since you can easily reach the beaches, Corfu Town, and more. We felt very comfortable and had a great stay.
Nothing about the property itself — just be aware that mosquitoes are common in Roda, so bring or buy a good mosquito spray before you come.

We had a lovely stay at Makris Apartments. The family who run it are absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming and nothing is ever too much to ask. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a lovely view, with a great big balcony to enjoy it from.
The only small thing that could be improved would be somewhere to hang the shower head.

Location is good for access to the village fronts. Owner/manager was very friendly and the AC unit worked an absolute treat.
My room (9) seemed quite dated, and being right above reception there was lots of noise coming from below. The flush on the toilet didn’t work so was given a bucket for “extra power”. The shower was 2 taps and a hosepipe, which barely had any pressure, and could not connect to the wall from above so I had to keep turning the water off to wash, not ideal. I also stayed for 7 nights and I didn’t notice any cleaning staff on the premises to ask for fresh towels etc.
