About this house rental
Nestled in Friday Harbor, this attractive house for $448 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. This two-bedroom cottage is just a mile from the town of Friday Harbor but offers a perfect way to get away from it all with a lush back yard that looks out over the ocean with incredible views of Jackson Beach. San Juan Island is famous for its beaches, and at low tide you can step off the sea wall on the property and walk across to explore to your heart's content. When you're done with your day, the sound of gently running water outside will lull you to sleep. Fiber internet connection allows your whole family to work or remote school. Constructed in 2018, the house is a cozy 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and a high end custom queen wall bed to the side of the living room. Full kitchen, washer, dryer and Internet access are all provided. The jewel of the space is the views from the living area and bedrooms across Jackson Beach to the south. They're unobstructed and unforgettable. You'll be located on one of the only saltwater rivers in the western United States, a fascinating natural oddity where fresh water melds with salt and then flows back with the tides. The house also contains a display of tools and arrowheads found at the nearby archaeological site dating from 2,500 to 5,000 years old. Other property owners have access to a nearby common areas but the guest yard and beach access is completely private. I am happy to be available if you have any needs regarding the space, but otherwise you'll be left to your privacy. Since the cottage is new construction, some of the landscaping is in progress - grass will still be growing in the front yard through may etc.

The house was everything I wanted it to be…the view from the back was amazing, and where I spent almost all weekend. The perfect home base to explore the wonderful island. Cannot recommend enough!!

The Cannery Row house couldn’t have been better! The location and views were amazing and we enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting out back watching the birds and sunrises. Nicely stocked kitchen where we enjoyed cooking. We didn’t want to leave during the day to explore as we were so comfortable and relaxed in this home. Thanks for a great stay!

We traveled to San Juan for a women’s weekend. Our rental was clean and comfortable. There was a seating area next to the bay with a daily visit from a heron, several ducks and flocks of geese. Everyone we encountered on the island was friendly and helpful. The weather was perfect and the island is beautiful. We would definitely return!

The location is perfect. From the back porch we saw eagles, seals, and otters.
If you are a runner, you can loop out from the house, around the point, for a beautiful 5 mile run.
The house is basic but very clean and well stocked. We ran out of dishwasher pods and Nigel dropped them off almost immediately upon receiving our text.
My husband absolutely loved Vangoughs pizza, if you are looking for an easy dinner.
We had a great time and we're sad to go!

This property was perfect for our visit. It is right on the water and was very easy to find. The house itself was very comfortable and plenty of room for 4 adults. This is a very peaceful place. We would definitely recommend this house and location to others. Thank you for a great weekend!

We came to stay with 4 people (all adults) and had a great time. Walking to downtown Friday Harbor is definitely possible, it's an easy walk, a little less than 1 mile.
Nige is a great host, very communicative and helpful.

We loved being on the water and seeing the geese come in each night. We loved being walking distance to town. There was plenty of room for two couples and one toddler. We used extra linens yo make a toddler bed in the walk-in closet and the wee one was set. The beds were comfortable. The couches were a little stiff, but this is clearly a well managed rental vs. a family home, and we were rarely in the den for long (too much to do on the island!!!). We would absolutely stay here again, and would recommend to others!!!!

This house was the perfect place in a perfect location (just a 3 minute drive to Friday Harbor). The house was clean and exactly as described.
The view of the water was great, although we weren't there when the tide was low so couldn't walk out onto the island.

We had an incredible time staying here in September. The house was very clean and beds were very comfortable! The location is perfect - very close to town and right on the water. We enjoyed having our morning coffee down by the water and ending the day there with a nice glass of wine. Really neat to see the tide come in and out and so peaceful! We can't wait to come back!

We loved our stay at Cannery Row, the house is so unique and access to the lagoon and spit made the visit superb!
Nigel and his assistant were top shelf communicators and while we had no issues, I felt confident from check in to check out that any problems would be handled!

Comfortable and clean. Had great kitchen equipment and dishes. View wonderful. Enjoyed a great storm! Convenient. Had a nice fire outside the night before the storm. Would return for another stay. Thank you!

Amazing stay close to town!!
My husband and I just returned from a week's vacation on SJI. This is the 5th VRBO that we have rented on the island over the years and there were many things that we appreciated about Nige's place. First, he was extremely responsive to any issues that came up (we temporarily lost the front door key and he had his house cleaner bring us over a spare and the night that all the islands lost power he messaged immediately with useful info.). We also really enjoyed that the space did not feel like we were staying in someone's lived in house. There was plenty of space to store things in the kitchen and bedrooms. We also loved the ever changing view our the windows. So cool to see the changes with the tides each day. Finally, he graciously allowed us to bring our 3 pets with us which was amazing. All five of us had a fabulous time!!!

Stayed a week at this place. Wonderful location on a quiet section of the water and just a 3 min bike ride or 15 min walk to the center of town. Bed sleeps good, line Ed are nice and kitchen is well stocked. Great host as well.

The location of this quaint house was exactly what our family was looking for. We had the opportunity to play in the water, kayak, stroll the public beach and enjoy the stunning views during sunrise and sunset.
