Enjoy the largest vacation rental in downtown Jackson! Magnolia Manor has a lot of mid-century charm in a historic neighborhood. It has hosted guests like TV network A&E to film a documentary. The Mississippi Museum of Art booked it to display a renowned artist's work, Jeffrey Gibson, for a private exhibit. Others used it for weddings, cocktail parties, and quiet enjoyment. Magnolia Manor is one of the older houses in Jackson with a dose of modern flair. It's located downtown. But! It's also literally around the corner from Interstate 55 for easy access. Built during the Great Depression, the property has seen many high and low days. Originally constructed as a one-room house, it has undergone at least four add-ons throughout its life. In two-thousand-fifteen, the bank foreclosed on the house. Due to major foundation issues, the bank had difficulty finding any buyers to restore it to its previous glory days. Magnolia Manor remained completely vacant for nearly two years. We took the project upon ourselves to buy the property and revitalize it. After six months of intensive work and depleting a large budget, we are thrilled to share Magnolia Manor with you and many others since two-thousand-eighteen. The property has a Guest Unit. The unit shares a small wall with one of the bedrooms of this listing. If you have not booked the Guest Unit in conjunction with this listing, you may hear slight noises from the neighbors in this bedroom, but nothing that should impact your stay or sleep. You go down a relatively short, narrow private road to get to the driveway. If you have a large vehicle, like a caravan, or more than two cars, you can either park on the street in front of the house or at the Sports Medicine Center parking lot across Fortification St. PLEASE DON’T BLOCK THE DRIVEWAY as to give way to others. Note: For safety, there is video surveillance around the outside of the house. This is not a reflection of the area. It's a great and safe neighborhood.

We flew in for a family weekend and the house did not disappoint.
The layout of the house was great for our group.
From the linens to the kitchen, everything was well stocked and then some.
The communication with Ashley was great.

We were in Jackson for a graduation with family. This was the perfect place with lots of room and great location to everything. The back deck was a great place to relax and grill. The bedrooms were big and comfortable. We will definitely stay again when visiting Jackson. Brad and Jo were very responsive and helpful with our stay. I had to change dates and that was no problem at all.

We were able to cook onsite and enjoyed being central to much of what Jackson has to offer. Our hosts, Jo and Brad, were very communicative and accommodating. They answered our questions in the weeks leading up to our stay. They were great VRBO hosts! Stop scrolling, this is the spot!

Magnolia Manor will be a welcome site for family and friends seeking a property with plenty of room to entertain a large gathering. Just imagine a warm & charming home with a touch of New Orleans! We were in town for a family wedding, and this home was a great meeting place for my children and my spouse to get a good visit in and attend the wedding. Beds were comfortable, the atmosphere of he home was very nice. The outside porch was a great for us to sit and visit.. There is also a good Mexican restaurant within walking distance.

My weekend was stressful in all aspects imaginable trying to move in 2 college students in 2 different states within a 24-48 hour window.
The only thing not stressful was staying at this property. I had multiple travel changes that were at times touch and go in less than an hour on a few occasions. The property manager was extremely understanding during such an uncertain and emotional time. Their flexibility with my ever-changing schedule was a Godsend and relieved so much stress. The house was everything and more. We did not want or need for anything that wasn't already readily available in the home. The shower in the "hotel" is to die for! I will definitely recommend to my friends and book again in the future!

Gorgeous home
The house was absolutely beautiful in a very quiet neighborhood. Had my family stay with us on a weekend getaway to Mississippi and we enjoyed our time here. Super close to the highway which made traveling around really convenient.

Nice house with plenty of space and lots of character. The only negative is the parking situation at the carport. Would not be a an issue with 1 or 2 vehicles and there is on street parking available so not that big of a deal. Communication and check in was easy.

The house was clean and big. It's an old house that's been kept up very well. All hard wood everywhere. The house is VERY sturdy and beautiful. The owners were extremely great at communicating.

The unit adjourning the main house had a resident who smoke. And, ofcourse that was irritating. Also an overgrowth of weeds over by the patio.

The property was so beautiful due to the old charm it offers. I Definitely recommend this place for anyone that has a need to accommodate a large family while in Jackson, MS. We were there for my sister's wedding and this property felt like home when both sides of the family met in this gorgeous property. Thank you to the owners for sharing this gem with my family and I.

Owner is super nice and responsive. If they are new owners I can tell that they are making an effort to update with better items but I'm sure a house like this needs more TLC and may take some time. House needs gutters to keep the house from sliding down the hill. The main areas were clean. There are several areas where you can tell housekeeping took short cuts. The neighbor hood is rough although it was quiet where we were.
