Such a great place to stay, secure parking, great staff, very clean, lovely pizzas and bar, social to chat to other travellers and get tips, great room, good kitchen facilities. Would really recommend staying here. They organise a lot of tours but sadly we don’t have time to join one. We would certainly come back. Thanks to the team for a great stay.

Well‑maintained property, pleasantly furnished and spotlessly clean. The bed is extremely comfortable and the pool is lovely. Breakfast in the morning is excellent as well. The staff members are skilled and kind.

The hostel is well located in Windhoek, the four-bed-room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great and even included in the price and the staff at Chameleon Backpackers is very friendly.

Close to the city and easy to walk to many parts. also provides a great environment for meeting and connecting with travellers from around the world. During my stay, I met many open-minded, friendly, and kind people, which was one of the highlights of the experience.
For the price paid and duration of my stay, the place is relatively okay. I wouldn’t advise for longer stay though. A hostel or guesthouse does not need to be luxurious, but basic hospitality, respect, and professionalism from the staff should be expected. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
