Nestled in Flathead Lake, this attractive house for $235 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Cherry Creek Retreat in Montana is a 7-acre parcel perched above one of the highest points of Flathead's East Lake Shore. The Bigfork property is near Glacier Park and surrounded by Flathead Valley beauty on all sides. Behind are tall forested mountains. In front is expansive Flathead Lake with excellent fishing. On each side are quaking Aspens. In between are cherry and apple trees, an old red barn, 3 trout ponds and beautiful Cherry Creek. Minutes away is Flathead Lake with boat access at Yellow Bay State Park, Woods Bay and Bigfork. Boat & kayak rentals and guided fly-fishing are available. The 3-story hand crafted post & beam log home has spectacular views from all rooms. Three decks flow from large rooms with French doors. Wood floors, rock work & custom art add further beauty. We may also be contacted on the state tourism website under the name Cherry Creek Retreat of Flathead Lake. We rent monthly during Spring, Fall and Winter months at reduced rates.

Trout pond is amazing! Home is beuatiful! Only minor downside is some road noise and the neighbors barking dog.

We were a group of 11, ranging from age 3 to 70's including 5 kids. We spent a day of our week in Montana just enjoying this cabin, the cherry, apple and other ripe fruit trees, feeding the trout and enjoying the surroundings. We enjoyed the beach and stream at the state park just 3 miles south. We lived on the deck. Just under an hour from West Entrance to the park, which was not a tough trip. Good grocery and restaurant options 5 (Woods Bay) to 15 (Bigfork) minutes away - we didn't even have to go to Kalispell for anything. Flathead Lake is beautiful and offers a number of recreation opportunities. Every one of my group was really pleased to be there.

My family stayed here to visit family and glacier park. The home has a beautiful view of flathead lake. The home is fully stocked with everything you can need for cooking and outdoor activities. Even bear spray which was nice since there was a bear roaming the area at the time. My family had a great time feeding the fish and picking cherries. The one challenge was there is no a/c in the home. The temperature was running around 95 while we there.

We all had a great time! House was well equipped with everything we needed, close to Glacier and other fun activities. Backyard gave us space to spread out and catching cherries on season a huge bonus. Totally enjoyed the month we were there. Highly recommend to other guests.

I highly recommend staying here. The house was very clean, had lots of room and was stocked with everything we needed. The property was beautiful; we loved feeding the fish in the pond. The view over the lake was amazing. The property owners were so accomodating and kind.

My family stayed here to visit flathead lake and hike in glacier. The property manager was very communicative and made sure we had everything for our stay!

The view was beautiful, the beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The fish ponds were a hit with the grandchildren who loved feeding the fish. The cherries and raspberries were wonderful. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our time at Yellow Bay and Glacier National Park. Our major issue was that the house had mice. The owner agreed to a 10% discount on the property, but the issue was not resolved during our week-long stay. Mouse feces were evident in the house and on the outside decks and railings. Traps in the house did not appear to be catching the mice that we would see running around on the second floor in the evenings. Owner was aware of the problem, attempted to plug holes and catch mice before our stay and thought the problem was resolved. Also, one of the first floor bedrooms had a cat urine smell. The upstairs bathtub fabric surround appeared to be dirty or rusty, and either soap scum was evident or the surface of the tub was damaged. There was a small piece of glass left on the kitchen floor under the cabinets that resulted in a minor foot injury. If the mouse problem had been taken care of and a few minor cleaning issues resolved, it would have been a perfect stay.

Flathead Lake
Property was big and spacious, cherry trees galore and ponds were nice. For us, it was a very lengthy drive to everything we were scheduled for, but that is on us. The actual property was very well stocked and clean! As many places in this area, there was no air conditioning, but we loved the place!

Great family/friends retreat
Great place. Please replace stove. My son-in law and daughter are professional chefs. The oven only heated to 350 degrees. My husband did NOT get his 69th special birthday cake. Better knives too!

What a wonderful family vacation! All four generations had a great relaxing time. Kids really enjoyed the fish ponds and the creek. Even enjoyed the family recreation room and the sleeping loft. Plenty of bedspace for 6 adults and 3 kids. Highly recommended.

We stayed mid September when things were slowing down for the season. Weather was nice except occasional smoke from multiple forest fires.
We enjoyed the ripe pears and apples. The yard was restful and pleasant. Didn’t see any bears.
Overall it was a great time for our family. We would love to stay here again.

Spacious but cozy with plenty of space for our family to be together. Great location for outings on Flathead Lake, hiking in Jewel Basin, and access to Glacier NP. Penny & Letty were wonderful communicators.

The lake and late night sky views are great. We would definitely be interested in visiting again!

The only down fall was the extra buildings that could be rented separately. They hadn't been cleaned, most likely due to COVID. Would be nice to see those buildings updated. It was great to see the family pictures hanging on the walls and know this house is very special to the family. Definitely would stay again, and hopefully soon too!

Penny and Jim's property is fantastic. Wrap around deck on the front of the house has great views of Flathead lake. We grilled and ate out there every night weather permitting. There is a great back yard and a road/trail that is a about a 45 minute roundtrip hike that we did most afternoons. Lots of space. We will return.

When we found out our kids were going to have to continue Zoom schooling, we immediately decided to find a nice place we could live for a month to get away from it all. We could not have found a more perfect spot. Cherry Creek is beautiful, spacious and perfectly located. It's not in a town but close enough to Bigfork and Woods Bay that all the town amenities like restaurants do not feel far away at all (we spent a lot of evenings at the Raven & Riley's Pub and a lot of mornings at Pocketstone). The house is both spacious and cozy. The views are incredible and the back yard is expansive. Our kids (and dog) couldn't get enough of running around the backyard and feeding the trout in the trout ponds. Waking up every morning, I wasn't sure which view I wanted to admire first, the lake in front or the mountains in back. Penny & Jim are also incredible hosts and were very responsive when we had questions. In sum, Cherry Creek is perfect... we have already looked into times when we can come back.

This was the 2nd time we've stayed here. We'd return every summer if we could. Awesome place with a large, relatively private property, great lake view and public hiking directly behind the property.
