Best things were:
Location and closeness to the beach
One floor so easy access across the villa and the garden
Spacious garden and when clean great pool and jaccuzi
Cleanliness:
We arrived Sunday night to already greenish pool, we thought that was the Color of the pool. However by Thursday all the insects and mosquitos in the area thought our pool was the new swamp and stormed in clouds. We had to hide inside and call to get it cleaned. Which was done on Saturday. By Wednesday next week the same was happening again. This pool needs to be cleaned every 2-3 days. Same for the jaccuzi.
Cleaners come on Wednesdays not in sync with the guest arrival. So they showed up 2 days after we came to change towels which were not dirty yet, and again 2 days before we left. They show up with no cleaning materials! No cleaning really.
The shower spaces filled out with water and overflow immediately. Meaning the drainage was not right.
Appliances:
The dish washer is broken and it was a fight to fill it up every night.
The kettle has rusted in the insight and can be poisonous so we could not use it.
The washing machine is an ancient one that you need to really caress to see if she works and helps you.
And ANTS: Everywhere…….

A superb accommodation with plenty of space and excellent facilities. The pool and hot tub are great features and all well maintained. It is really well kitted out for large groups and the location is ideal for walks to the beach. The host is very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Just be aware that you need a car for the location to get around. There aren't many negatives to the accommodation itself.

I WISH I could give 10 points for the beautiful house Villa Baires - Chia! The house was really fine and the location near wonderful beaches was perfect! It was quiet and peaceful, the pool and jacuzzi were clean, the garden very beautiful. The outdoor grill on the roof with sea view was pleasant. BUT unfortunately I have complaints...
Some of ours complaints:
- The room down in the basement was damp and smelled of mold. It was impossible to store clothes there. One of the two who had to sleep there got sick with a headache from the stale air, but luckily recovered as soon as we got home. This meant that we did not have full access to as many bedrooms as promised. (That is why the price of the villa is too high!)
- WIFI did not work
- The plugs went off often, including when cooking on the stove. All
outdoor lighting could not be used as the plugs broke immediately
- It was not possible to shower more than 3 people at the same time because the water ran out
- The garbage cans were not empty when we arrived. The garbage was also not emptied during the whole week so in the end we did not have room in the garbage cans outside and had to have several garbage bags indoors so as not to attract pests outside.
- The handle for the oven was broken. Just one baking sheet for 12 people is too little.
We have written our complaints to the owners and I hope that they will adjust all faults. In that case will Villa Baires definitely be worth a visit!
