About this house rental
This casa is the perfect getaway to relax and enjoy the warm breezes of the Costa Rican coast. The neighborhood of Palm Beach Estates is a quiet, gated community with onsite security, located within the lush Las Baulas national marine park. The peaceful, uncrowded beach of Playa Grande is covered with beautiful shells just waiting to be discovered. And if you enjoy wave riding, our beach has one of the best surf breaks in the country! Casa Amigos is a spacious, uniquely designed property that was recently renovated to maximize the vacation experience for larger groups. The house boasts several living spaces for multiple activities yet maintains an open, interactive floorplan for the ease of group entertainment. Its two separate living rooms, centered in the house, provide a television with DVD player, plus a speaker. These rooms flow to the fully equipped kitchen, so you may curl up on one of several couches while other group members cook dinner or watch a movie.
The floorplan includes five bedroom suites – four conveniently positioned off the two main living areas & the fifth being a private suite just off the pool. Each bedroom has its own internal bathroom, providing exceptional privacy from the rest of the group. All bathrooms have tiled showers and separate vanities. Four bedrooms have king-size beds with premium luxury mattresses & sheets. One bedroom has a queen size bed plus a set of twin bunks (affectionately called “the kids room”). All bedrooms have separate, individual AC units and ceiling fans, as well.
The kitchen is the perfect gathering place for any time of day. Fully equipped with stainless steel refrigerator, cooktop, microwave and oven, it provides all the modern conveniences of home. There is seating for six at the breakfast bar, plus an additional seating for six at the dinette area. Its gorgeous dark wood cabinetry and granite counter-tops are two luxurious accents of this upscale property.
With regard to luxury, this home’s remarkable function cannot overshadow its equally beautiful form. Its interior design is the distinct collaboration of its stateside owners & a local decorator. From its incredible wood-covered, vaulted ceilings to its playful light colored sofas, every design element is precisely chosen. Combining the influences of the coast with the local art of Costa Rica and Nicaragua, the interior of this property conveys the perfect blend of “tropical chic”.
And once you have taken the opportunity to absorb the entire list of “inside” delights, you won’t want to miss its equally impressive outside amenities. The location could not have been better. So close to the beach and restaurants within walking distance. The house had the perfect space for our needs and the outdoor space was perfect. Lots of covered space to enjoy the outdoors even with the hot sun. Everyone had their own bathroom which is awesome. The kitchen is well furnished and was happy to see a few spices as well. The AC worked great. It was the perfect house for my family.

Casa Amigos exceeded all of our expectations. It is evident the hosts truly care about ensuring guests have a wonderful stay -- the host contacted us after booking to answer questions and provide us with recommendations. He even followed up with us after our stay to request feedback and recommendations for improvement. We could think of nothing to improve!The home is absolutely beautiful — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything needed for a beach vacation. From beach chairs, beach towels, a wagon, and boogie boards (among other things!) to a fully stocked kitchen with spices and cooking essentials, every detail had clearly been considered. The pool and outdoor area are fabulous and the home's location ideal. The beach is just steps away with easy access directly across the street. A wonderful restaurant is located just two doors down. Two other restaurants and a small market are also a short walk away.Everything was made easy, thanks to Shawna, the property manager. She was incredibly responsive -- answering questions, arranging transportation, excursions, etc. She went above and beyond when a medical issue crept up.We had an amazing stay and will definitely be staying here the next time we return to Costa Rica! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us!

The location was perfect with beach and restaurants just steps away. Great pool and plenty of shade and chairs for those that wanted to stay out of sun. Will stay here again.

Our stay at Casa de Amigos was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed, relaxed, and completely at home. The property is beautifully maintained, thoughtfully designed, and perfectly captures the laid-back luxury that we were looking for in our Costa Rica vacation! Communication with both the owner and the house manager Shawna was fast and thorough. She helped with booking our rental cars, golf carts, dinner reservations, and excursions! Even a last minute surf lesson! The location is unbeatable... peaceful, and just minutes from the beach with the beach access directly across the street, making it easy to enjoy both relaxation and adventure. Along this path we even saw a family howler monkeys one morning! The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything you could possibly need... towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, kitchen utensils, even spices! We would return in a heartbeat and recommend Casa de Amigos without hesitation to anyone visiting the area.
