Plesent room .

Great place to spend the night if u dont mind banging music from bar below till 1am in morning ..room was clean and served all our needs .staff was friendly. Wouldnt say it would be a good location for romantic stay or young family

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was fabulous!! It was located near the train station so it was extremely convenient.

Our shower was a little confusing.

1. Very clean and tidy. 2. The noise isn’t too bad if you’re tired enough. 3. Netflix available - this was great.

1. After I’d booked the room for two people, it was showing for a single guest only. This was naturally added stress to sort out. Eventually got in touch with the property management and was told to ignore it. 2. Once we got there, there was no parking available as a car was parked in the middle of the entrance blocking any access. Having again contacted the property I was told to use a nearby car park and to pay for an hour, return with the receipt (which will be refunded) and there will be parking available. This was never brought up again once that hour passed. No mention of a refund either. Thankfully we were there on a Sunday so the parking we paid didn’t cost us that much but something to be noted. 3. When we entered the place the music was already very loud and the people behind the bar didn’t have our booking information within their records so it took a while to sort out. 4. No outlets near bed.

felt like I’d passed out on a night club floor

don’t stay here had a very good dodgy rave atmosphere, if your visit to the Lake District has dog bowls as potable swimming pools, drum + bass music beds shakeing form a washing machine and fire crackers going of our ( twice ) , would be splendid. I’d called up the day before to check info on dog and that I had to be up early for and ultra marathon the next day but yet wasn’t in the book when we arrived. had REALLY loud music playing + plus firecrackers, weed smell being pulled into room with extractor fan in the end left before 23:00 as wasn’t fair on the dog as was really stressed, and could sleep. would get more sleep in the car, or probably a hedge.

Do not stay here if you want a good nights sleep, and breakfast in the morning!

The location was good, friendly staff

Banging music and very loud shouting in the bar up to midnight....not a pub but a nightclub, crazy to offer rooms in this situation, as impossible to sleep until closing time. There was no breakfast included in the price, so poor value for money as the room itself was adequate but nothing special . Shower was not great, no mixer so either scalding hot or cold.

Helpfull,friendly and nippin clean

After reading the reviews I was a bit dubious of going . Arrived at 10 am and coz booking wasn't until 3pm parked in car park and had a look around the area We were literally in middle of town Booked in at just gone 3 and room was immaculate with mega comfy bed :-) The guy showing us in ( sorry didnt get his name) was lovely chatty and gave us all info we needed It was a bit noisy from about 5 pm But as we were going out at 7-30 it didn't bother us We went for a drink in the bar downstairs before heading out The clientele were all really young and quite loud but ALL very friendly and very polite The lady behind the bar ( Chloe I think ) couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and was a really lovely lady pointing us in the direction of more nightlife and answering any questions we asked We arrived back there around 11-15 and had a couple of more drinks which again the people in there were friendly They closed around 12-30 as it had died off and no noise was heard after that Much the same the following evening But all in all a lovely stay in a very nice place with lovely and friendly staff

never again, put me off Penrith

location is very central

load music from the afternoon through to past midnight that made the radiators shake. Caters fir the locals who have no night club in close proximity so use this accommodation to meet up and party. music finished after midnight and then the chaos in the car park from the locals

Nice enough shame about the noise

The music playing in the pub was too loud. After midnight there was lots of banging doors and people shouting. The room was too cold.

it’s not a place to relax much ,

ideal location for the town.

heating very poor , not under your control.ideal place if you don’t want to sleep as music can be heard from down stairs pub , quiet time happens After 1 am. Apart from that nice place.

No parking space at midnight, occupied by pub guests. Loud music from the pub downstairs until 1:15 am and shouts even longer! No info on booking website, there is a noisy pub under the hotel. Got a message after booking, it can be noisy until midnight but it was much longer. I left the hotel tired.

Very good

i booked this before reading the reviews and i must admit i was very sceptical but was pleasantly surprised on arrival. Very friendly staff room was small but cosy and clean and though it stated it could be very noisy pub was very quiet that night so cant really comment on that but overall a very pleasant stay
