Loved my stay at The Blue Swallow. Very warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Freshly cooked breakfast. Good wifi and shower and liked having fresh milk for the room. Room a gd size for a single and quiet as at the back of the house. Convenient for Penrith shops and for the bus station for getting to Keswick. Would definitely recommend.

From the moment I checked in I felt very looked after. Karen and Alison had gone out of their way to accommodate my dietary requirements, ensuring I had a hearty breakfast every morning and suitable treats in my room. As a woman staying alone I felt very safe and comfortable at the Blue Swallow. The room was immaculate and had every modern comfort. It was refreshing to stay at a "real" B&B, complete with personality and charm. Location was excellent, with lots of local amenities.

This is probably the best guesthouse I've ever stayed in - very friendly and welcoming hosts, a lovely room on the top floor which was spacious and clean, great facilities and amazing attention to detail (tissues and ear plugs and chocolate tiffin amongst many others). The breakfast was great and the whole place is lovingly created with care and attention to detail. We were even presented with flapjacks for our onward journey. If you're staying in Penrith, then stay here.
