Located in Hickory Run State Park, this charming house for $213 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Black Bear Cozy Cabin is a 2 bedroom 1 bath rancher 1/2 a block from Lake Harmony. It is dog friendly so you don’t have to leave your beloved pet at home. Imagine enjoying your morning coffee on this quiet street while enjoying the deer strolling by from the large decks. You will enjoy plenty of parking and an easy stroll down to the lake. Your stroll will take you to the public kayak boat launch/ swimming / fishing area of Lake Harmony. Bring your kayak, fishing poles and tubes and enjoy the water. We are sure you will enjoy being within walking distance to all the restaurants and Split Rock Resort. Nicks Lake House, Shenanigans, Piggies, and Terra Cottage are maybe 3 tenths of a mile up the road to your right. This Ranch features hard wood floors throughout and a cozy cabin decor. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a queen and 1 set of bunk beds for all your other guests. The living room features a stone fireplace and a 52 inch ROKU TV and a full size sleeper sofa. The living room is open to the kitchen area allowing a great flow for your visit. Total sleep space is 6. There is an air conditioning for hot summer days and forced hot air heat for the winter. This cozy cabin is perfect for seasonal, weekly or just weekend renting. Discounts apply the longer you stay. If you like skiing or snow boarding, you will enjoy Big boulder Ski resort just a mile away and Jack Frost Ski Resort just 2 miles away. If you are a Race Fan, The tricky triangle track is about 10 minutes away. We provide kayaks, one double and two children kayaks. The back deck and yard boasts a gas grill and a fire pit for your enjoyment. Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, There is always something going on between Lake Harmony and Split Rock Resort. Wine Fest, Beer Fest, Cigar Fest, Cardboard Classic, Ski Season, Summer Lake fun and hiking. If you want to swim, I recommend Hickory Run State Park’s beach just 10 miles away. We love live music so Penns Peak is one of our favorite venues. Check out which bands are in the area during your stay. If you want a great place to go for New Years Eve, this is the spot. Memories await you at this lovely perfectly located home. Rent the whole ski season or just a weekend. All the fun just a few blocks from your front door. Enjoy!

We had a nice time in Lake Harmony. The house and location were great. The only slight disappointment were all of the motor boats and jet skis in Lake Harmony on Saturday when we went kayaking. But, otherwise great stay!

Very clean, enough space and dishes/silverware for us. Lots of deer on property in the morning and evenings, chipmunks galore. Only thing missing was the double kayak that was in the listing.

This is our second time staying at Cozy Bear cabin, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. It's just a block up from public access to Lake Harmony, and a 5 min drive to Big Boulder where we enjoyed snowboarding for a couple of days. It's a small cabin, but very comfortable for our family of 4 and our dog (very nice it is dog friendly). Lisa, the owner, is very responsive and helpful, and the property is well maintained and clean . The kids really enjoyed seeing the deer that would visit the backyard every morning. Will definitely be back again.

My husband and I went to Lake Harmony for our anniversary, and brought our golden retriever with us. Check in was a breeze and the home was adorable and clean. Loved the cabin- great location right near the lake and close to the restaurants. Also a short drive to many hiking areas!

We had a great time! The cabin & property are small, but very inviting. The house is located close to the lake & a number of nearby restaurants. We loved that the deer visited us each morning. The owner left us with a pail of corn to feed them. She also left us a bottle of wine & a s’mores kit which was a very nice gesture. Overall, we enjoyed kayaking, swimming in the lake, hiking, & relaxing by the fire pit. There are many things to do in the area, from dining out to concerts to festivals to wineries. We found a great roadside farmstand for fresh produce & homemade goodies & a craft shop with beautiful handmade items. We look forward to returning for our next visit.

Cozy Cabin
We enjoyed our visit to Lake Harmony. The cabin was clean and had sheets, bedding and towels available.
The use of kayaks and easy access to the dock was perfect for us.
We also loved feeding the deer while hanging out at the fire. We saw a bear too.
Would stay again. Great for our family of 4 plus our dog.

The cabin was the perfect size for our little crew.
We did some sight seeing during our stay, but stayed close to the cabin, for the most part. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the lake can be seen from the front porch, but a quick 5 min walk will put you right in front of Lake Harmony.
We brought all we needed to cook during our stay, or so we thought. Each time we realized we could use a particular utensil, or a dash of a specific seasoning, it was available to us! We were extremely impressed with how well stocked the cabin was, and the anticipation of our host, to know what her guest(s) may need during their stay.
We really enjoyed the firepit and fireplace, both were very cozy and a perfect way to unwind after a full day.
Prior to the trip, I repeatedly said that I hoped we'd see deer, and boy did we! Our mornings on the back porch were magical. We were surrounded by deer! I believe we counted up to 15 at one point. The host provides a can full of corn, so you can feed the deer- and they sure do expect it! It was really wonderful, and just another layer of relaxation, on an already relaxing getaway.
We will be back.
The only negative comment comes from finding cigarette butts in a few ashtrays when we first arrived. We assume the housekeeper is a non smoker and most likely overlooked the ashtrays, after leaving the rest of the cabin absolutely spotless.

The distance to the lake was perfect and the surrounding area was peaceful and serene. We absolutely recommend this house.

Family and I had a wonderful weekend at the Cozy Cabin. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, and a great location close to lake and lakeside restaurants. Lisa was very responsive and helpful. We definitely recommend it, and we look forward to coming back.

The cabin was perfect for 5 of us ( 3 adults 2 kids). We enjoyed Lake Harmony beach, s’more ‘s on the fire pit, and morning coffee on the deck. Donna the property mgr. was very nice and helpful. Lisa the owner was a pleasure to deal with. We hope to return next year.

Nice front deck to sit on that we all enjoyed including our small yorkie; there is also a back patio/deck with fire pit, but we used the front deck.
Kayaks and inflatables to use if you choose to, just remember that when you are on the lake stay within the white buoys that are about 30ft from the shore line. There were a lot of jet ski’s/wet bikes and speed boats on the lake that cause a lot of waves out past the bouys that could easily tip over a kayak.
Locally Nick’s has a great view of the lake and lovely big outside patio, however it is very busy and staff seemed rushed and not very friendly; food was OK.
On the other hand Shenanigans was our preference, the staff were friendly and relaxed and generally a much nicer atmosphere than Nicks. They do have an outside deck but it is lacking the view of the lake.
We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this cabin and if we were back in the area would not hesitate to book again.

We had a great time at the black bear cozy cabin. We came for the nascar race & the track was only 10 minutes away. The house was well stocked with essentials, very clean and adorable cabin decor. Lisa was quick to reply with any communication and even left us a bottle of wine & s'mores. Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will definitely be back next year!
