Our deck overlooks a beautiful back yard with a small bayou that connects to the Vermillion River. Fully furnished kitchen, dining and living room. Washer and dryer. Loved our stay at this beautiful home in this beautiful old town neighborhood. Came for Lafayette but fell in love with Abbeville. Ms. Marcie thought of everything, absolutely everything. Of all our VRBO stays, yours was the most accommodating. Fully stocked coffee bar, toiletries and every kitchen aide needed for cooking and dining. We even helped ourselves to the game drawer and learned a new card game the we enjoyed. The home and yard are very clean and tidy. Had a surprise visit from a loud screech owl on our last night stay that went from terrifying to being blessed by its presence. How lucky we were to experience that. Would love to stay again and would highly recommend.

Very cute little cottage in a perfect location for us. Quiet neighborhood, with a private feel. Beautiful back garden area, and thoughtfully appointed kitchen. One television in the living room, none in the bedrooms—a plus for us. Would recommend, and return.

We stayed here for 2 nights with friends as a get away from New Orleans during Jazz Fest. It was a perfect spot -- lots of room, clean and well set up. The backyard deck is very nice in the spring, with birds overhead in the trees in the morning and evening. And the location is ideal -- very close to the center of town. We walked to dinner and enjoyed the great local restaurants, and then toured other nearby towns. All around a great place to stay.

The house was well kept and a good location to downtown Abbeville. The groom stayed at the house for the week. The couple enjoyed the property and will consider using the house again. There was a little issue with the door lock which was quickly resolved. The owners were VERY responsive.

Staying at this adorable cottage in Abbeville was like staying at my grandmother’s. Not only is it story book cute, but the thoughtful amenities speak volumes on hospitality. Hopefully, the next time we visit our daughter who is attending UL in Lafayette, the cottage will be available.

We Loved everything about this property! Even though it is located in town, you feel like you are in a country setting because of the beautiful
flower gardens, flowing canal, cozy deck and quiet, tucked away arbor area. We also really enjoyed the way the owners have mixed the old with the new …Preserving many of the original features of the house! If ever in Abbeville again, we will definitely be staying at this beautiful property.!

Lovely in Abbeville
We stayed at this lovely home for a little over a month in March. The home is well equipped, well cared for, comfortable, and charming. We enjoyed the large outdoor spaces and walking in the historic residential district. The neighbors were fantastic. Thank you to our gracious hosts. We feel fortunate to have enjoyed such a pleasant stay in Abbeville.

Anniversary get away
Beautiful house in a great quiet location. Love the deck in the back that faces the bayou. Kitchen is well stocked. I mean who has an immersion blender in a rental??? Great place to stay and we will be back.

Great Place To Stay
We were in the area to visit family and friends and this place was perfect for us. Very close to amenities, yet off the beaten path. Everything was very clean and neat. Checkin and Checkout was extremely easy and property owner is a good communicator. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area again.

Our family enjoyed our stay. The area was quiet & felt isolated. The grounds were full of flowers, greenery, butterflies, & squirrels. Inside was full of southern charm. We slept well, plenty of space for a family of 4. I recommend.

For adults stayed over three days and two nights. Perfect Little cottage, great location. We could walk to downtown, and only 200 yards from Vermilion River. Excellent day!

The Quiet Side
This is a fantastic cottage in Historic District that is so serene!!!..The 40's style takes you back in time!!! So well kept . My group absolutely loved it...I want to go back...well I could live there in a heartbeat!!!

The house was even better than what was listed on the website. I did not cook on this trip but I would have had to bring very few kitchen items. Kitchen was well stock (emersion blender??!! - who would have thought to stock that!!!!!). Bathrooms were well stocked as well. The back yard and the deck were awesome to just relax. We will back soon.
