good location so you can walk anywhere on the island in max 15 minutes.The owner responds to issues promptly. Bed is decent but saggy and pillows are flat foam so not very confortable.
no view and noisy from cars -also could use better towels as the ones here are very rough.Entry to the apt up the stairts can be very dark so take care.the washer is a great addition but it does not spin the water out of your clothes well so you have to wring everything out by hand or you will drop water everywhere getting the clothes to the balcony to dry. Be aware Ortigia experiences many water outages-I had no water on 3 days of an 12 night stay so that is very inconvenient.

Great location and Marco is so helpful (he came and rescued us from the bus station). His recommendations were great. We used three of his recommendations for food and drink (which he sends to you in a Google map) and they were very good. The little bus which goes to the Greek theatre and near the station and bus terminal stops right outside the back door.
We struggled to get in the back gate with the key but could get out and getting in the front gate was fine. The appartment is accessed from a shared central courtyard (which is full of character).

The location was perfect, minutes walk to the main area and restaurants.
The apartment was situated within a beautiful quiet courtyard with a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The apartment decor was lovely, it was spacious and well equipped with everything you would need. Marco the host was very helpful. Ortigia is a beautiful place to spend a few days.

The apartment was in a great location. I really felt that I was in the heart of Ortiga. The ocean was a block away and the wonderful street market was 10 minute walk away. The AC worked well.
I would have liked a more welcoming host. I was there for 11 days and was provided with one pod for the washer. I asked for one more and was told to go buy a carton. The shower backed up, the living room tv was broken. I asked for more than one roll of toilet paper and was told to go buy it. No consideration for my longer stay. These things soured my stay which was unfortunate.
