About this house rental
Nestled in Ghent, this attractive house for $426 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Freshly refurbished loft in historic house very close to the historical centre of Ghent, 5 min walk to Vrijdagsmarkt, many restaurants, shops and bars nearby. Quite area with museums, sightseeing, nice shops and bars. Stylish, warm and comfortable. Plenty of natural day light. Fully equipped (heating, well-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer). 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 toilets. On site parking for two medium-sized cars included in the price. Big (82m2) living room with fully equipped open kitchen (refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, microwave, oven, dishwasher, dishes, cutlery, glasses...). Television, radio. Spacious bathroom with shower and bath tub. Two bedrooms can be closed with a door. The third and fourth bedrooms are each located on a separate mezzanine, and are equipped with curtains providing full privacy. Three bedrooms have box-spring beds which we can make up either as double beds either as single beds, according to your wishes. The fourth bedroom has 3 single beds. All bedrooms can be darkened. There is also a hairdryer, washing machine, dryer, an iron and ironing board in our place. Baby-cot, high chair and toys are available. Do not let kids play unsupervised in the house because of the open staircases. The gas stove is temporarily out of use due to the limited gas supply in Europe caused by the war in Ukrain. This should not impact on your comfort since the central heating is fully operational.

Lovely property with parking was perfect. Just 3 in our group so plenty of space to spread out and recharge after sightseeing and enjoying the holiday festivities. Safe quiet neighborhood, felt private yet relatively close to all the activities and attractions. The only negative for us were the scratchy towels and toiletries offered. Nice place to stay for people who enjoy walking and exploring, I would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed the location, the size, and the uniqueness of this property and would stay again in a heartbeat. The only minor complaint thay we had was that although the property was tidy and well equipped, it was not quite clean when we arrived. We communicated this upon our dwparture and I'm sure it will be rectified for future guests as the host was very redponse and communicative throughout the rental process. We did not let the minor issues affect our stay at the great property so close to the centre of Ghent. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

Len was a fantastic host, he was really helpful. It was the perfect place to stay, tonnes of room for us and bikes on a trip to watch the Tour of Flanders. Great location too with only a 5-10 min walk to some great bars and restaurants. Thanks Len 👍

Beautiful designed loft within walking distance to the historic City Center of Gent. Spacious facility for group of 6 people. The only area to improve: kitchen equipment (ovens and glasses) and upper bedroom were not cleaned.

We spent a very good time in Gent and everything was perfect. Very good contact with the host. The loft is very well located within the walking distance to the center of the city and very well equipped - you have everything you need. The possibility to park a car in the garage is an advantage which we have appreciated. Really to recommend. Thank you Len.

Prima verblijf gehad in mooi appartement op loopafstand van de binnenstad van Gent. Beschrijving op site komt goed overeen met werkelijkheid. Goede matrassen op alle bedden. Eigenaar Len reageert snel en goed op communicatie. Ik zou het zo weer huren !

Super schöne großzügige und helle Ferienwohnung über drei Etagen
Wir waren mit Familie (9 Erwachsene) drei Tage in der Wohnung, es war ausreichend Platz für alle – für Kleinkinder muss man allerdings wissen, dass es steile Treppen gibt. An dem sehr schönen langen Holztisch konnte man super essen, spielen und vor dem Gaskamin, der auch Wärme abstrahlte, war es sehr chillig. Die Lage ist ruhig, bis in die Innenstadt ist man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß gelaufen – hervorragend. Sehr angenehm ist, dass man von der Garage direkt in die Wohnung gehen konnte – in die Garage passen zwei normal große PKW. Wenn die Wohnung noch einen Balkon oder Terrasse hätte, wäre es das non-plus-ultra, aber auch ohne ist es eine absolute Empfehlung 😃.

Beautiful and spacious
It's really a great, massive, open space. Very cozy, lots of room. Great showers and such. Very nice to hang out by the fireplace with your friends. There was an unfortunate problem our first night - during heavy rain, some kind of problem flooded the house with a really horrible sewage smell. The property owner responded and apologized immediately, but we had to live with the smell until the next morning when someone arrived to fix the problem, which originated from the garage.
Hopefully the remedy means future guests won't have the same experience. Other than that, perfect, and great communication from the host.

Great apartment
We had a great stay in this apartment in December. It's a very social space for a small group and ideally located to explore Ghent. Len was extremely responsive to my queries and was very helpful in advance of our stay and also while we were there.

Wonderful Stay for Large Groups
We had a travel party of 7 and Len's house was absolutely wonderful. The location to town was perfect and it provided enough space for everyone to relax during our visit to Ghent. It was clean and updated, and Len was a wonderful host. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

Schönes Loft in zentraler Lage
Die Kommunikation mit Len und auch der Check-In lief reibungslos. Sie hat stets schnell geantwortet und sich während unseres Aufenthalts erkundigt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Die Wohnung ist groß und bietet ausreichend Platz. Die Garage im Haus ist perfekt für die Anreise mit dem Auto. Die Lage ist nah genug um die Märkte und die Gras- und Korenlei fußläufig schnell zu erreichen, jedoch nicht mittendrin, sodass es nachts nicht zu laut wird. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Ausstattung, viel Platz, sehr schöne Badezimmer und eine tolle Wohnatmosphäre.
Obwohl wir deutlich verspätet ankamen, klappte die Schlüsselübergabe problemlos.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und bedanken uns bei unseren Gastgebern Len und Hans.
Unser Urlaub in Gent hat uns sehr gefallen und wir kommen bestimmt noch mal wieder.

Len was wonderful to deal with, and went out of her way to ensure you didn't have issues finding the place.
Having a few beers in the fridge after a long day travelling was a very pleasant surprise. This place has everything you could want, fantastic space, toys for the young kids to play with, it's a long list..

Sehr zentral gelegen, grosszügig und modern. Alles was es braucht. Mit kleineren Kindern wäre ein zusätzliches Zimmer mit Tür von Vorteil. Die Wohnung ist ruhig aber alles gut zu Fuss zu erreichen. Sehr unkomplizierte Gastgeberin. Gent hat uns gut gefallen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

We really liked this unit!
This was a really well equipped apartment, in a good location. The garage easily fit our 9 passenger van ( I was a little worried that we would have to find somewhere else to park).
It was so nice that there was coffee and filters, milk, beer, champagne and snacks for us on arrival! We would definitely stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Perfect base to explore Ghent
We needed somewhere for 3 couples to meet and share a short holiday in Ghent - The Grain Loft turned out to be perfect. Spacious, well appointed and furnished, clean and situated within easy walking distance of the centre, it was ideal. It is also close to local restaurants and shops including a supermarket. Arrangements with Len were very smooth and the "starter" supplies were much appreciated. Thanks from all of us for a lovely stay.

Amazing
This house is awesom and absolutely beautiful inside. The pictures don’t do it justice. This was the nicest rental I have ever stayed in. There is plenty of space for everyone in your group. It’s a great location. Len went out of her way to make us feel welcome. There were even drinks in the fridge for us. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Grain Loft is great, as is Gent
This is a beautifully and cleverly renovated property, ideal for three couples and up to three children. The river is only metres away with its riverside walk into the centre and also very close to the excellent MIAT museum. The property is in a cosmopolitan area of Gent with a wide range of restaurants, cafes and mini-supermarkets and also the tram route into the centre. The owners are extremely hospitable and helpful, anxious to make sure you enjoy your stay.
