About this cabin rental
Nestled in Morganton, this charming cabin for $79 per night is a great choice for your next break. Tucked away in a quiet lakeside community. Only 6.4 miles to the heart of downtown Blue Ridge. Hop on the Golf Cart and head on over to the Beach, through neighborhood to Morganton Point Recreational Area where you can enjoy Lake access, public beach, kayak & paddle board rentals, a boat ramp and the most beautiful sunsets. After the beach take the Gold Cart over to Nomads market for lunch and ice cream. Great neighborhood for walking, biking, and easy paved road access. Always excellent wifi and cell service along with large working desk and comfortable chair make it great for working remotely. THE SPACE: Graced by surrounding mountains, our "Storybook cottage" is made of lovely log construction and exudes time honored charm. A dining nook adjoins an eclectic kitchen that while small, is stocked with everything a cook would want. Two guest bedrooms downstairs lead to an open deck, while a large "sleeping loft" holds 3 twin beds and extra bathroom. NEIGHBORHOOD: Our cabin is located in the lakeside community of Ridgeview Heights and is conveniently located to everything. Less then a two minute drive to MORGANTON POINT RECREATIONAL AREA you can enjoy the most beautiful sunsets over Lake Blue Ridge. Morganton point also provides a PUBLIC BEACH where you can rent canoes, paddle boards, or just spend the day swimming. Take a peaceful leisurely stroll through the neighborhood.... soaking in the scenic Mountain views along gorgeous Lake Blue Ridge and checking out some of the most beautiful little homes by the lake. We are about 5 or so miles to an Ingles grocery store and Downtown Blue Ridge. For any last minute items that may be needed there is a Dollar General store available just out side our neighborhood. Easy All paved road access.

The cottage is in a lovely mountain landscape. The fireplace kept the cottage cozy during the cold weather. There really wasn’t anywhere to take the golf cart as the lake and restaurant weren’t open.

This home was comfortable, adequate, spacious, and in what appeared to be a very peaceful neighborhood. It was perfect for the two of us and would've worked just as well if we had traveled with another couple of for a family with kids. We shared multiple messages with the owner before and throughout our stay, all of which were addressed very quickly. We would definitely return to this area and this home

It was a great place to stay! Nice and quiet and away from towns! Scenery was gorgeous. About the only problem we had was that we got there after dark and access was a little scary getting our luggage out and down the hill to the front door. Otherwise, everything was great.

We enjoyed a 4 night stay - myself and 3 adult children.
There was plenty of space, the kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies, the linens were clean, etc.
We especially enjoyed the firepit and chairs and use of the golf cart.
The owner was very responsive when I had a couple of questions.
The only thing I would say for others...if you are sensitive to noise...this cottage has zero sound barriers. You can hear EVERYTHING from every room - the cool wood ceilings are also the floor above and without any other insulation, sheet rock, you can hear it all.
We didn't care too much, but if you are there with multiple couples or light sleepers, it could be.

We had a great time at the cottage. It located close to the lake and not far from downtown Blue Ridge. The inside was very nice and very clean. The only complaints we had were 1) the exterior doors sticking( hard to open) due to temperature changes ( we were notified in the check-in email about this so it wasn’t a surprise just annoying). This would also put the electric lock on the door in a bind sometimes, but there was a key in a lock box to assist with opening the door. 2) Due to it being a older cottage the upstairs floor was squeaky so anyone in a bedroom on the main floor could hear every move from above. All in all it’s was a nice place and w would stay there again!

This is such a cute mountain cabin/house with everything you need in it. It is well decorated and stocked. Great location close to the lake and other attractions in a quite neighborhood. We loved our stay and the host was great, very responsive to the short power outage we had due to storms. I highly recommend

We stayed at this cottage in Morganton, GA, to celebrate our 59th wedding anniversary. The one thing that we observed about this property and that we will always remember is how quiet the place was during the day and especially at night!! You could hear a pin drop. Absolutely no noise at night. Perhaps we have become too accustomed to the urban noise in the Atlanta area. We enjoyed our stay. We thought the web pictures showing the cottage's interior were a little "photo shopped", but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. Felt secure, relaxed, and enjoyed out time in the Blue Ridge area.

We really enjoyed the property! There was plenty of room and bathrooms for 5 girls
(my sister and I and our 3 daughters all over the age of 15). We had a queen bedroom, king bedroom, and 3 twin in the loft. The upstairs floor was pretty squeaky, listening from downstairs bedrooms, due to being a rustic plank flooring. The rustic plank floors and antique/distressed decor was the theme throughout the cabin. Overall very nice and clean.
The neighborhood was excellent. The golf cart to ride around in the neighborhood and drive to nearby Morganton Point Recreation area was an added bonus. We packed a few fishing poles and the girls enjoyed fishing.
We enjoyed being able to cook for ourselves each day. We picked up groceries from the local Wal-Mart, and we were set.
The back deck was a peaceful place to sit and talk while we ate watermelon.
We did have alot of fun using the seating/ fire pit area in the front to make s'mores and hot dogs. (Only a suggestion, the area is small and using only a few pieces of wood felt like too big of a fire for the size of the area. Next time, maybe only purchasing a bundle of kindling instead.)

It was a perfect weekend. The house was adorable and had everything needed to grill and cook a complete meal. The beds we cozy and the house was a story book so ensure we truly enjoyed our stay ans decorate so cute

This was our first hand experience ever renting out a cabin and staying with family. In fact, We had a great experience with this stay. Morganton lake is located right out the window; less than five minutes drive took us to go to witness a great sun set. We took a few fantastic twilight photographs.
I would recommend anyone who wants to get away from maddening noise and city life, this is the place for you.

Wanted to visit Blue Ridge but didn't want to stay in town. This cabin was perfect! Just far enough out, quiet and very cozy. Taking the golf cart to breakfast half a mile away was so cool!!! Highly recommend!!!

All of us could hear what the other was saying from one room to the other. Need to work on the floor around the fireplace at the front door didn't like the trip hazard. All and all nice place to play cards around the table with good friends, but too noisy at night if your group is older and need to get up during the night.

The house is located in a beautiful, quiet area and everything you could possibly need has been provided. There's even a golf cart to use to go down to the lake. The host left clear instructions for everything and provided a basket full of maps and guides for the area. We made a slight mistake with our stay dates but Mary quickly solved our problem. It was a little gem!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect. Only a few miles to Blue Ridge and about a 2 minute drive to public access to Lake Blue Ridge. The cottage was cozy and had everything we needed for our stay.
