Charming apartment but needs to be cleaned better

Charming apartment in the beautiful village of Valbonne. Fantastic location, great restaurants just around the corner. The apartment had a little Juliëtte balcony which was cute ! The apartment was spacious for 3! The self check in and check out was easy and always found a parking spot 2 mins away.

Unfortunately the apartment wasn’t cleaned property, sheets and towels need to be upgraded asap! The bathroom was dirty, hair in the shower trap with blocked drains! And no rubbish bin in the kitchen which was odd

Lovely place to stay in beautiful Valbonne

There's no kettle (although no problem to boil water in a saucepan) and just a black bin liner under the sink instead of a kitchen bin.

Good location and comfortable for a quick visit of Valbonne.

The flat was clean and comfortable, and very well located. Everything as expected and check-in was easy. PS: there’s an Irish pub not far, so on occasion there can be loud music heard, although it stops at midnight and didn’t prevent us from sleeping.

The photos were a little misleading as they were actually of two flats and we got access to the one without the balcony - and didn’t find out until a couple days before. We also messaged the property twice to ask if we could have a baby cot but received no answer. They messaged us a couple days before our arrival about flat access, keys, etc but ignored the question both times. Would’ve been nice to know just to get organised!

misleading pictures. communication with host not very fluid

location is very centrally in the village (esp in the summer some people may consider the noise of the restaurants in the street below as disturbing)

pictures actually are from two apartments in the some building: one in the basement with a bed and a sofa in the same room, yellow pillows. one in the first floor with a balcony, blue pillows). we didn’t know that the pictures are from two apartments and were disappointed as we needed two rooms with the bed… we didn’t know this upfront. communication with the owner wasn’t very fluid and the code for the key box wasn’t communicated upfront. it took us some phone calls and text messages to get it sorted. Our apartment (“yellow”) is ok’ish for 2 people who are ok to sleep in the same room….

Can do better in Valbonne village somewhere else

Location is excellent, but there are plenty of nice village apartments that would most probably give you a better stay.

Nothing worse than starting the stay with a very rude owner when you ring for assistance to get the keys out of the key safe (be sure to note that the key safe is on the floor of your apt Infront of the door and not in the one in the entrance by the letter boxes as there is one there which proved to be the confusion because theinstructions were not explicit). Although the apartment was finished with tile floors, nice kitchen cupboards, good bathroom fixtures and comfy bed, you are let down by a plastic coated sofa bed from the 70's,no kettle, cheap small towels, dishwasher with dirty dishes, no bin (only a bucket under the sink) and a shower drain that gets blocked (cleaner came to unblock it but it's disruptive to your stay - we were there only 2 nights!). As a 'superhost' of several apts, I can say with full confidence that this place could prove to a lovely stay if the owner were nicer and listened to the many reviews that highlight the same issues I've listed (I was assuming at minimum the things I listed would have been addressed for our rental - sadly not - it seems reviews fall on deaf ears of the hostile owner.) Bottom line - I think you can do much better in the village somewhere else and we won't stay there again.

Perfect place to stay in heart of Valbonne

Perfect base in centre of Valbonne. Very comfortable bed and hot water readily available

No kettle. Us brits like a cup of tea and having to boil water on the hob is old fashioned. Shower could do with a grab rail and upstairs shower leaked a little through our bathroom ceiling on one occasion. Needs a bin in the kitchen with bags to take rubbish out. Hand soap in bathroom also a necessity during covid times, luckily I had taken a small bar of soap.

Location-great!! parking can be a bit tricky. Very clean but a few details missing

Location was great It was very clean and well taken care of.

We were 3 people for 3nights. The extra bed was a chaise lounger. The lounger was not made, we had to make it ourselves. There was only 1 espresso pod for coffee for 3 days? No sugar. No small espresso cups but rather big cafe mugs. No salt or pepper or oil. No napkins or paper towel. Bathroom had NO hand soap. This seemed unacceptable and very unhygienic. Especially in the time of Covid. The shampoo body soap was almost finished in the shower. Again for 3 people, it wasn’t enough. The stovetop did NOT work. We were going to make crepes. The unit turns on but you could not heat the element. Very disappointing especially after making the batter and buying the ingredients to make breakfast. Had to throw it all out and go out for breakfast.

Nice flat in centre but better communication from owner required

Very central yet quiet.

The room wasnt ready until 15.40 even though the owner told us it would be ready from 15.00 Also asked beforehand about parking but received no reply. Expensive for what it was.

Horribly stuff - worst check in ever

Perfsct location

We had to wait 1h in front of the apartment because no one sended us the number for the key - so we had to wait like homeless people in the front and than only reply was in France! No sorry for nothing they don't even replied when were calling! They don't send the key passwort in advance. its a I connected thr stuff because we dont had glases and wine glases in the flat. First - no-one replied and than after we got in contact the people were so unfriendly. They didn't care at all. We bought wine and wantet to cook and than it wasn't possible because the kitchen equipment was so poor, horrible!!! Stuff super super unfriendly. The bad room was full of mold! For this price

Lack of communication, overly priced, delayed response

Valbonne is a beautiful place, but that's about it.

The hosts didn't let us know the code for entry into the flat before arrival even after I messaged and phoned. Waited outside the flat for an hour, then drove back after waiting and contact customer support. They couldn't get a hold of the hosts after. Just before the deadline to give the code, the flat responded with no apologies for the delay late check out wasn't possible to compensate for the delay. Also inside the flat there was no bottle opener, we contacted the number of the housekeeper who apparently lived next door to ask for one, and received no response. We were also surprised at the fact the bell rings every 30 mins. The price for a nights stay doesn't match the quality or standard of the flat/hosts.

Can be expensive for what it is during high season - even in these Covid times.

Extremely central to the point of noise from the square and the road below being a little on the worrying side. It was very clean, and has facilities like a dish-washer that can be useful for long stayers. Air-con more than adequate (two units for a relatively small room and kitchen. The mattress was very comfortable and good quality.

Never met a human, so there was nobody around for us to ask a question, or make any adjustments to our stay. When selling they show a room with a balcony, but when you get to stay there, there is no balcony. Only super-soft pillows and no chance to change that as nobody around.
