I wanted a holiday in Weardale and this cottage fitted my requirements and was dog friendly., Very quiet and near the bus route to Stanhope and Rookhope . More important it was close to the Moors and the Weardale Way Walking Route. as I was there for a weeks walking with my dog. Public footpath went past the gate.

Television was controlled via an internet connection which was rather intermittent. Didn't worry me but may annoy some people.

Great size, well equipped kitchen. It comfortably accommodated our needs

The house was immaculate throughout, however, the double bed upstairs was full of dog and human hair both in and out of the sheets. Fortunately, and wondering why this wasn’t done before we arrived, there were fresh bedsheets in the wardrobe so ended up changing the bedsheets ourselves.
