About this condo rental

Nestled in Kiawah Island, this lovely condo for $619 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Please be aware of ongoing construction in this building from early January to early March. The elevator will be temporarily out of service in early January, and exterior work on the stucco and main entrance will occur, resulting in higher noise levels and visible activity. Current rates are reflective of this project. While this construction is beyond our control, we feel it is important to disclose this information. Take advantage of special beach gear and bike credit! This Kiawah Island oceanfront vacation rental is a first-floor Windswept Villa with 3 bedrooms, multiple balconies, gorgeous views of the ocean, and convenient beach access. The main living space allows seamless flow between the kitchen, dining and living areas. The fully equipped kitchen features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. An elevated bar with a spacious opening connects the kitchen and dining area, allowing for easy meal preparation and entertaining. The living room offers a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, comfortable sofa and three chairs, wet bar, and access to a large covered deck with a table and seating for 6. An additional balcony, shared with the junior master, is accessible from the living room. The junior master suite is located off of the living area and has a king bed, balcony with two chaise lounges, flat-screen TV and DVD player, and bathroom with shower/tub combination. This bathroom is also accessible from the hallway. The master suite is located down the hall and boasts a king bed, private covered balcony with two chairs, flat-screen TV, and bathroom with double sinks and separate bathtub and shower. The third bedroom is near the villa’s entry and offers a twin-over-full bunk bed, twin bed, and private bathroom with shower/tub combination. The villa is equipped with washer, dryer, and high-speed wireless internet. Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount for this property is $250. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, and more – the choice is yours! During your stay on Kiawah Island, be sure to enjoy biking on the 30 miles of flat bike trails, golf on one of five world class golf courses, playing tennis, crabbing, fishing, swimming, boating, kids’ camp and nature programs at Night Heron Park. Kiawah Island is about 40 minutes from historic Charleston where you can enjoy incredible shopping, galleries, antique stores, museums, South Carolina aquarium, IMAX Theater, horse drawn carriage rides, and sumptuous dining at many of the fine dining establishments in the city. RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email. RBL19-006518 In accordance with the Town of Kiawah Island Short Term Rental Ordinance, all guests understand that the approved number of bedrooms is 3, the maximum allowed occupancy is 8, and the maximum allowed number of vehicles is 3.

Overall the property was great, but there were a couple items we wanted to call to your attention: 1) The lock box was extremely difficult to figure out and, in fact, we were unable to lock it back up upon our departure. Last year we stayed in a unit that had a keyless entry. That was great because we didn't have to think about keys when we went to the beach. 2) The living room furniture was dated and somewhat worn. For older people, the couch and chairs did not provide good support when sitting. 3) Everything else was great and we would possibly consider rebooking this unit again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Enjoyed our time in 5101 Windswept. Two comments. Felt like a box of tissue should have been provided in each bathroom. None supplied in condo. Linens would be described as poor. Only one pillow per person. No extras. Most of us sleep with more at home. Only top sheet and very thin bed spread/blanket on bed. No extras. Wished I had brought my own linens from home. I would not rent this condo again due to that. I would recommend it to a friend with that caveat.

Reviewer Comments: The location is wonderful with a beautiful view and close proximity to the beach boardwalk. Unfortunately the unit really needs upkeep. The toilets do not flush well. The bathrooms in general need maintenance work including cracked and peeling walls and paint. The kitchen was not well supplied with utensils and cooking tools/ needs. The kitchen drawers and cabinets were dirty inside and out. The washing machine smells. I called to have the shower curtain replaced which was moldy. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless but were disappointed in the condition of the condo especially given the cost. We expected better upkeep of the rental unit.
